Re: Effects to many archives.
I need to make a small conversion of time (without changing tone) to many archives in a folder. With Audacity I can do automatically this without having to do it one by one? (Excuses by the bad writing, I do not speak English) Use 1.3.7 and set up a chain including the Change Tempo effect at File >...

Re: Windows7 + 1.2.6 crashing
I'm running Windows 7 and my version of Audacity(1.2.6) has been crashing - anyone have any info on this? Thanks. Windows 7 is still a Beta operating system, so unsupported. But from a few tests and other reports, 1.3.7 works quite well with Windows 7. If you still get crashes then try updating the...

Re: Problems with skipping and infact getting it to work!
Laptops have slower disk speeds than desktops - did you check DMA is enabled? If recording is the problem then from your description you are using the "cheap" USB sound card to record with? The link you gave to it seems dead, but make sure it has the latest drivers supplied by the manufact...

Re: USB Cassette to PC Recorder
I'm running Windows XP Pro, HP PC .. two years old. I just purchased the Grace USB Tape2PC recorder. It came with Audacity 1.26 which I already have installed on my machine. I already have installed the Ion USB turntable, which installed with no problems at all. Now trying to install this new devic...

Re: To get the latest Lame -- THIS IS RIDICULOUS
I've been trying to get the latest Lame, but http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ seems to have "403 Forbidden" links. Still "403 Forbidden" when try to access from other file find sites. IOW, this link gives page saying "403 Forbidden": http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.2_fo...

Re: Can't Export as MP3 Using Lame
So I went to the recommended site tried left clicking >> 403 not allowed If you have gone to http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ or are clicking a link that points to that site, but left-click gives an error, then it is almost certainly because your browser does not send a HTTP referrer on left-click. Unles...

Re: Export drops last sample
I have now had a chance to make some tests on Windows with CVS HEAD. As I expected, there isn't any general problem with samples being dropped on export, rather a fringe issue where the exported audio is a specific length. I agree we want Audacity to always be sample accurate. But in your case this ...

Re: Audacity 1.3.7 crashes while compressing
That does not affect your current Audacity installation at all, except that if you change a preference in 1.3.8 alpha that will also be reflected in 1.3.7. Does this only apply to Windows? Because other sources say you can't have two different installations of 1.3.x installed at the same time. --Al...

Re: File, Export window poping up behind Audacity window
I thought I should let someone know that when I select File, Export, whatever window commonly pops up is not displaying in front of the Audacity 1.3.7 window. It's displaying behind the Audacity window, and so you can't see it, and it appears as if the program is frozen, but it's not. Whatever wind...

Re: MP3 Export, CBR=Good VBR=Bad Length
Possible bug in V1.3.4-beta When I export VBR MP3 files the Length is Wrong... Hope this info is useful 1.3.4 is long obsolete so the information, well-intentioned as it is, is not at all useful. If you upgrade to the current Beta 1.3.7, all these VBR inconsistencies should be fixed. Please note yo...
