Re: Installing "FFmpeg Installer"
Using Audacity 1.3.7 build Jan 28 2009 I need to use the FFmpeg library it seems to import a mobile phone .amr audio file. Well the Audacity web link in the Prefs -FFmpeg Library Download icon points to a place which doesn't exist. http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ffmpeg.win32.2009.01.08.git-6b51f23.audio...

Re: Vocal remover tutorials doesn't work.
I downloaded a mp3 song. The song is more on voice. The music is only piano and trumpet and no stereo. I want to dub the song, so I need to at least lower the voice or remove it. I tried a lot of removals and tutorials, but it doesn't work. When I import the song, instead of showing two box, it onl...

Re: No 11khz Project rate option?
1.3.8-alpha_Apr 24 2009: Same symptoms, i.e. it ignores any values typed into the Project Rate box and uses the last selected value. I.e. Open 44hz wav, overtype 11025 in Project Rate box, exported wavs are still 44khz, Tone gen creates a 44khz track. We've addressed this OS X-only problem now in o...

Re: MP3 Export Crash
If lame_enc.dll is in C:Program FilesLame for Audacity (where the LAME installer puts it) or in the Audacity installation folder, or in the Plug-Ins folder inside that, the dll should be autodetected without browsing for it, as long as it's called "lame_enc.dll". Well, that certainly happ...

Re: Can't download Lame
It's busted. We'll fix it. You must get the right lame. http://lame.buanzo.com.ar is working fine as far as I can see. Are you trying to control-click and save the link? That often won't work (as the site says) - please left-click. You can also get the files from me: for 1.2.6 (Power PC) http://www...

Re: No 11khz Project rate option?
...Deleting the text does not cause that message on Windows, but instead of deleting the selection, just click inside the box (whatever rate it's showing) to select the text, then type (which will overtype with the rate you want). Yes, tried that and it doesn't work. I can overtype the value, but t...

Re: No 11khz Project rate option?
Open Audacity, Select the number in the Project Rate box and delete it (important that it is fully deleted) Now type 11025 into the project rate box. Now use the "Generate" menu to generate a tone. The tone should have a sample rate of 11025Hz. Can't delete the number, I get 3 popup boxes...

OLD: AVS Audio Editor and other SourceForge advertisements
Until the end of Decemebr 2010, some or all of the Audacity downloads were served by SourceForge . These old download pages included advertisements for other audio editors like AVS. All Audacity downloads are now served by Google Code . To those who think SourceForge are offering AVS instead of Aud...

Re: Can I feature audacity in an educational TV programme?
In the meantime you can read about the licensing restrictions on Audacity use in the Audacity site here: http://audacityteam.org/about/license Thanks, Peter. I have replied privately to Sharon. The GPL Licence is about physically distributing and using Audacity, so only applies in terms of whether ...
