Re: No 11khz Project rate option?
When Audacity has a editor window open (either a new project, or open an existing file/project) it lists numerous options (New, Open, Open Recent, Close, etc). When Audacity does *not* have an editor window open, the only available options in the File menu are "New" and "Open". ...

Re: MP3 Export Crash
OK, though I would be interested to know whether lame_enc.dll 3.98.2 will encode for you in 1.2.6. It is supposed to, and does here. Can you let us know? Same story. Removed all traces of 1.3.7 (1.3.8 alpha), audacity.cfg, lame_enc.dll, etc -- nothing on the disk. Installed the 'standard' 1.2.6 ver...

Re: No 11khz Project rate option?
If you close all the Audacity editor windows (so Audacity is open, but has no windows), the "Open Recent" menu item is not accessible, which seems counter intuitive. I either have to use the "Open" dialog and find the file manually, or use "New" option and *then* I can...

Re: Bug in "timer record"
Where do you report bugs? Currently on the Audacity Wiki - But I've started thinking about a process for moving real bugs (sometimes folks report things that aren't actually bugs) over to the Wiki from here. Peter, bugs should *not* be reported on the Audacity Wiki, because it is not set up to hand...
Re: Sync bug
Yeah, I just checked. You can try it yourself: REPEAT a drum beat 100X, and about 10 or 20 seconds down the timeline it starts losing a fraction of a second. I should mention however, that I purposely shaved off part of the decay of the beat so it would measure exactly one second long. Then I could...
Re: Sync bug
... I created a drum sound with the drum machine (Risset i think its called) and then I repeat the sound 100x for a song. But the problem is upon looking closely at the time line, the beat does not stay even after a while, you lose a fraction of a second or two... So you are not talking about a pro...

Re: Error Opening Sound Device
If you are recording something that is playing on the computer, try turning off both "Play other tracks while recording" and "Software Playthrough" options in the Audio I/O tab of Audacity Preferences. Software Playthrough should never be enabled when recording sounds that are pl...

Re: Settings for Silence Finder values
I'm trying to use Silence Finder to split the single track captured from a cassette into individual tracks. I've been playing around with the settings for silence level and silence duration, but no matter what I do, I end up with FAR more files than there are songs...can anyone offer me a guide to ...

Re: MP3 Export Crash
I'll roll-back to using 1.2.x/LAME 3.9x and/or using the new version with the WinLAME workaround for now... and Thanks! for the efforts. OK, though I would be interested to know whether lame_enc.dll 3.98.2 will encode for you in 1.2.6. It is supposed to, and does here. Can you let us know? Thanks G...
