1.3.8 and later GUI mode VST plug-in support
Audacity 1.3.8 and later now loads VST plug-ins by default if they are in given locations where Audacity searches. Previously, Audacity only loaded VST plug-ins if the user added the optional VST Enabler to the Audacity plug-ins folder. By default, VST effects now load in GUI mode with a fully-featu...

Re: Audacity 1.3 Freezes
I clicked on the .wav in Explorer and went for "Open with" got the initial splash screen for Audacity, and then when I click on OK I get nothing... I then found a "Program present" bar like you do, down on the bottom of the screen. I tried right clicking and choosing "resto...

Re: Windows XP 64 Bit and Audacity 1.3.8
I have not been able to get Audacity to work for some time on my Windows XP 64 Bit OS. Anyone have any luck?chris We've been through this in great detail, and it is unhelpful to keep raising the topic in different threads and places without referring back to the correspondence it relates to. To beg...

Re: Error opening project
The9th, if you enclose text within code tags, it will display as you write it, like the <pre> HTML tag. Can I ask all of you who have this issue to try 1.3.8 please. We have certainly come across one user who found that saving a project in 1.3.7 with Unicode characters in labels created the duplicat...

Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
I just came across this thread, after having encountered the problem everyone has described. I was recording live and had the level set just a little too high so got some sections with digital overflow distortion. So I went and wrote a Nyquist plug-in which I think is very similar to what Arnie and...

Re: Volunteers?
I was wondering if Audacity needed any volunteers with no programming experience. Well, I have some, very minimal though, just college projects. I was actually wondering if Audacity needed any one to complete test plans or to contribute in some way? If so I would love to give some of my free time t...

Koz,..Alternatively why not (when jumping from forum to Wiki) open the link with an "open in new tab" or "open in new window" - assuming that is that your browser supports such functionality. WC Like I said, if you use the links in the header at top of every Forum page, that sho...
