Re: Effects applied to one track affect all tracks
I noticed this bug some time ago, but I made a new topic so it isn't forgotten. It's in 1.3.8 and in 1.3.9 alpha. I'm using Mac OSX 10.4.11 on a G5. Create two tracks. Apply an external (e.g. Apple AU) effect to (part of) one track, then the effect is applied to the same part of the other track. Th...

Re: Unable to see/check "Load Theme" box.
The buttons and check boxes are intended to be below the text displayed in your image. Have you got a vertical scrollbar to right of what you show in your image that you can use to scroll down? If not the problem is that there are unintended gaps appearing between the paragraphs in that tab. The ima...

Re: Split Off Meters...*Really* Split
I think all the Audacitys do this. I pull off the meters so I can blow them up and see them easier. They become crippled separate applications. I minimize the main program (yellow button) to do something else on the desktop, I need to keep pushing the meters out of the way. They don't follow the ma...

Re: Paste Mix.
If you wanted to overwrite rather than insert, you'd draw a region in the track and the paste would overwrite it. When pasting, Audacity inserts at a cursor point, and overwrites in a selection region. Audacity does not yet have Paste Mix. To do what you want to do: * select the region you want to p...

Re: Audacity hangs on startup
How about VST plug-ins? Have you added any since the trouble started? If you have the VST Enabler in the Audacity Plug-Ins folder (inside the 1.2.6 installation folder), Audacity will be looking for VST's in that folder and in the system locations noted here: http://audacityteam.org/vst/ 1.3.8 looks...

Re: 1.3.8 won't recoginize lame dll
Thanks, Cpowell for all the steps. Doesn't seem there is much we can do here without having the machine to debug it, but if you can bear it, could you also try uninstalling LAME for Audacity, exiting Audacity, re-initialising .cfg, then putting lame_enc.dll from the attached zip into the Audacity in...

Re: 1.3.8 won't recoginize lame dll
Yes, I've been following that thread. I've done everything listed there and the wiki pages concerning this. What is interesting is after I remove everything from the audacity.cfg file except "NewPrefsInitialized=1", after I open Audacity to try the MP3 export, close it again, and open the...

Re: Required software extensions are missing
I'm using the latest daily build (Audacity 1.3.9-alpha) on Mac OS 10.4.11.When opening the application, this error occurs: http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1695/errordnv.jpg "Required software extensions are missing" It then directs me to the Pace Anti-piracy site. Should this be happen...

Re: Minor bug: double error message, 1.3.9alpha
What I was trying to do when I discovered this was to use the Nyquist prompt to generate a certain signal. But since the Nyquist prompt is an Effect, it needs to have something selected before it will do anything, even if I'm going to completely replace whatever is selected. The use of any Effect w...
