Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Going back to the topic error (disk full/not writable when saving a project), I think we've worked out that having a completely silent track (or a track containing a blockfile that is nothing but absolute silence) may trigger the error. These conditions do not reproduce the error with 100% reliabili...

Re: Veritable bug in 1.3.9
Works Beautifully! It notched a 1:15 stereo file in 3 minutes!!! And the progress bar was right on. For Nyquist process effects like notch, the progress bars should be mostly OK. For Nyquist generators, you can call them broken. :? But they may be fixed later if someone with the correct skills can ...

Re: Veritable bug in 1.3.9
We have made a fix and after testing on Windows XP I think processing time and memory usage is back to 1.3.6 levels or somewhat improved (according to the plug-in). For example, Clipfix will still take quite a lot of memory and CPU use and take some time to complete - but at least in 1.3.9 that memo...

Re: Please add "Welcome to Audacity!" screen to Help menu
The "Audacity" tab in "About Audacity" already contains a link to the Forum. Probably not an obvious place to look for it... Indeed, not obvious which is why I was surprised you wanted "How to get Help" in "About Audacity". But if someone does look in About A...

Re: Veritable bug in 1.3.9
The problem of excessive memory use during processing of Nyquist effects seems to have been caused by changes we made prior to 1.3.7 so that the progress bars in Nyquist effects worked properly . Prior to that the Nyquist progress bars would often freeze just after start and then suddenly complete r...

Re: Please add "Welcome to Audacity!" screen to Help menu
Please make the "Welcome to Audacity! / How to get help" screen available under the Help menu. If I click the "Don't show this again at start up" box, I never see this screen again, unless I'm lucky enough to find it under Edit|Preferences|Interface. I think having the Quick Hel...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Just relocating the files to this new directory structure allowed me to open the Ogg/Vorbus compressed project files and then save the project into the "native" file format. This would indicate to me that the pathname with the word (Unicode) might have been the problem as the Song Names d...

Re: Getting at the Help manuals
But it would be nice to find out why the local manual doesn't work as it should and get it fixed! A recent message that I read on the audacity developers mailing list suggests that the problem on Macs has now been identified and fixed, so hopefully it will be OK in the next release. http://n2.nabbl...
