Re: output sound volume
Some news: sound output selection and volume went back to normal after uninstalling Soundflower. If you need Soundflower you could try reinstalling it. At least you know that uninstalling it again would solve any problems it creates. Regarding uploading the .cfg file, a .txt file would not be allow...

Re: OS Sierra - Compatible with Audacity?
As you can see from our system requirements http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/#sysreq Sierra is supported in the current Audacity 2.1.2 release.
If you can be specific about what the Audacity problems were, we could advise you better.
Or you can look at the 2.1.2 Release Notes.

Re: Mixing microphone and system sound using usb headset
I have a Sennheiser usb headset. I want record sound I'm playing via VLC mixed with my voice through the headset microphone. I'm finding it very difficult to get a reasonable balance between the two. The nearest I've come is to turn the microphone recording level very low in the mixing toolbar, and...

Re: How do I import drivers to Audacity?
First, you went to the wrong site for Audacity. Here is where to obtain our downloads (the latest release is 2.1.2): http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows . Second, Audacity as shipped does not support ASIO so won't see the ASIO4ALL driver. What is the Behringer item's model number? Most Behr...

Re: Upgraded to 2.1.2 and can't import from iTunes
If you look in the 2.1.2 Release Notes you can see a little way down that it's a bug in 2.1.2: Audio files cannot be dragged into the Audacity window. You can drag files to the Audacity icon in /Applications or in the Dock, or import the file from within Audacity. Drag to the icon will open a new pr...

Re: output sound volume
Don't you believe it could help your reading the .cfg file? Already answered. You posted the Audio Device Info which I asked for, which lets us see all your audio devices. The audacity.cfg file has much less information of relevance. I understand you deleted audacity.cfg which would make all your s...

Re: Format Error in MP3 players
Long story short... I spoke with local IT guys and they told me that whenever I copy a file onto external media it gets encrypted. This is to prevent data theft company wide. This is why they won't play. I'd like to thank Audacity, Koz, Gale and all of you for your support. I think in the last post...

Re: bug in 2.1.2 error in attached screenshot
I set up a multi-track show as an experiment and I too, got a screen full of horizontal lines apparently stuck that way. I and I suspect the poster would have sacrificed several family members to find a tool called Zoom Vertical. View > Fit Vertically does as a one-off what "Automatically fit ...

Re: audacity 2.1.2 - clipping bar not working
Anyone check out the vid i posted above yet? Shows the issue quite clearly... Cyrano cannot reproduce this. I would like to say once again that the meters will not indicate clipping unless there are four consecutive samples clipped. View > Show Clipping indicates if any samples that are clipped. Au...
