Re: portion of audio track lost when recording is stopped

This doesn't happen when zooming. I just had it happen again and I tried zooming in and out to see if it made any difference. It did not. I am recording from cassettes and the problem happened when I finished recording the second one. Essentially, I recorded the first one, deleted the blank parts a...

Re: Audacity as a mastering tool

...kudos on version 1.3 ... the native VST support is a huge step forward! Okay here are my suggestions:.. 2. The spectrum analysis tool is outstanding, the best I've seen of any audio tool I've used. It is *wonderful* for finding the frequencies that are overused in a track. But it can only analyz...

Re: Installation Error

Mike, I did not see a prior report of this problem so I have sent an email to the developers to make sure they are aware of it. John, thanks. We weren't aware of it. I can find no evidence at all that a default administrator account (which will be called "Administrator") has fewer privile...

Re: Imported .WAVs are oversaturated and unusable.

V. 1.3.9, Imported .WAVs are oversaturated and unusable. This does not happen with my 1.3.9 installation (on Windows XP-HE). I just tested it with a couple of WAV files that I created last week and they import (and open) at exactly the same amplitude tha I exported them at last week. So I'm puzzled...

Re: 1.3.8 GUI mode VST plug-in support (Comments welcome)

I recently discovered (& very much welcome) the enhanced Audacity VST support. I am experiencing a small Audacity VST admin problem. Audacity lists VST effects that are not on my c: drive (anymore). I have tried re-scanning to no avail. If you look in the README.txt accompanying 1.3.9, you'll s...

Re: Blue Cat's Gain Suite plugins don't show up

We actually did a lot of work on Blue Cat (VST) plug-ins because they were crashing Audacity 1.3.8 when we first implemented GUI support for VST effects. That work was done on Mac. Blue Cat's Widening Gain (if that's what you mean) shows up for me on Windows XP as a VST plug-in. Note for newly added...

Re: portion of audio track lost when recording is stopped

ZenosKalos,This is an issue the developers are continuing to make progress on. Try out the latest Nightly Build . I don't know of any such current issue. There used to be a problem with waveform being lost beyond the scroll after zooming in, but that was fixed several Beta versions ago. Can you giv...

Re: Waveform view corrupted in all versions from 1.3.4 - tru

I have updated my system to use cairo 1.8.8 but the bug persists. Like I said, i could reproduce the bug in just every version of audacity that is in the gentoo repos (the last was 1.3.9) AND the trunk.... Unfortunately there isn't much we can do given we can't reproduce the problem. If you suspect...

Re: Copy/paste partially muted

Vince has advised 1.3.10 still has issues that if you paste in audio at one rate into a track which already has audio at another rate, the length and pitch of the audio is incorrect. As before, the paste is only incorrect if done other than at time zero. 1 Launch Audacity (project A) 2 Set project r...

Re: PreSonus FP10 records at a max of half-volume in Audacit

Nothing has changed between versions. I just simply found out that the problem only occurs when recording mono, with one channel. It makes no difference between using MME or DirectSound. What I noticed is that the M-Audio technician posted a screenshot of recording in STEREO--I'm positive he would ...
