Re: draging .aup file into Audacity odd behaviour
I know that AUP isn't a sound file. My point was that Audacity doesn't recognise it when you drag it to an Audacity window. It would make sense for it to recognise an AUP file and open it, whether it be launched through double-clicking, right-click and open with... or dragging to an Audacity window...

Re: What went wrong? Recover temp files manually?
I obviously thought that exporting the edited file made it completely independent of the original source, giving me the freedom to delete the actual Audacity files. I see the settings in Preference which you mentioned, but I think I'll leave it set to (faster), knowing that I just need to free up m...

Re: unable to open target file for writing
I also ran into this problem, but found it was a different issue. I was trying to write to a folder whose title was written in Chinese. Once I changed it to export to a folder with roman characters, there was no problem, probably related to the issue mentioned above. It depends what you are trying ...

Re: ffmpeg import hang before setting ffmpeg lib path
Hi, I notice with 1.39, 1.3.10, that on fresh install (from rpm package on Fedora 12), that attempting to import audio using ffmpeg hangs audacity, requiring killing it. Could this be a fault in the Fedora package? What should happen (and does for me in Audacity CVS HEAD on Ubuntu 9.10) is that if ...

Re: Old bug from 1.3.9 returns in 1.3.10 win beta
Confirmed, though there may be a good reason why the default directory is set to the Modules directory (perhaps so that modules work?) I'll see what I can find out. Hi Steve, I don't know enough about this so as you suggest asking on -devel (Cc to -nyquist) may be best. The two main changes to Nyqu...

Re: Exporting as a .wav file
Using windows XP, and audacity 1.3.9 -- Want to export a recorded piece as a .wav file. but when I open the File Menu, and click on Export, program goes right to making a label or being able to change where it is stored (i.e. I like to put the recorded piece into "My Music") and does not ...
Re: Windows 7
I switched to Windows 7 beta a couple of weeks ago. So far I am not impressed. I like very much the ability to shift the location of the different icons in the taskbar. But other than that I do not see a lot of major improvements. What are the main advantages you think Windows 7 bring to the table?...
