Re: Importing/editing voice memo WAV files
Using Audacity 1.3.6 under Win XP Pro SP2 My camera (Fuji S602Z) has a Voice Memo feature which creates a WAV file along with the associated image file. I believe this is pretty much common among digital cameras. I wanted to use Audacity to edit and save the WAV file as an MP3 file, but received a ...

Re: Label Track length doesn't change after truncate of othe
Yes this appears to be a bug - it certainly behave differently in 1.3.9 and earlier 1.3.x versions (I just ran some tests). It may be down to a feature which was introduced in the earlier 1.3 versions which enabled you to "link" a set of tracks, including a label track. But the developers ...

Re: Audio dropping out of finished project
<<<I have no idea why Audacity needed to make a backup of this file>>> I believe Audacity will try to make a backup project if it perceives you are saving a project over the same filename. Koz Audacity used to overwrite an .aup project file if you saved it with the same name, and made no backup. Ov...

1.3.0 by the looks of it. 10 releases behind the current version - an update would be in order. See, this is why we use the forum - more eyes on the issue will find things that others have missed. -- Bill No, you were right the first time (audacityversion="1.3.9"). 1.3.0 I think just mean...

Re: Wah Wah effect?
I just downloaded Audacity and have made a few recordings, but when played back all the sounds have a wah wah or phaser effect on them. I have tried playing with the effects in the generate menu, but nothing can take the effect off. When I play a recording, it plays normally for a few seconds then ...

Re: Audacity Problem, or Windows Problem?
Hello. I recently got a new computer and one of the first things I downloaded was Audacity. My computer is a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and the Audacity version is 1.3.10. The real problem isn't much of a problem, it's just an annoying obstacle. When I want to save or export an audio file, it hi...

Re: draging .aup file into Audacity odd behaviour
As I wrote to the audacity-devel mailing list, http://n2.nabble.com/Export-Multiple-Bug-td4092094.html#a4092094 the "nightly" version of Audacity on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Nightly_Builds is Audacity 1.3.10 alpha Nov. 30th (Unicode) which still has the Export Multiple...

Re: Export to .wav problems
<<<but are about to go to the current Beta.>>> Don't go to 1.3.10. 1.3.10 has great difficulty with Export Multiple. Known Problem. If that's the "rounding up exports to the nearest 5 seconds" issue, Export Selection has it too. Redwood, do you know what steps create this "repeated s...

Re: Calibrating the volume between two tracks
I wanted to try to equalize the voice with the music.... the music goes up, the voice goes up and vice versa. People seem to ask this quite a lot for example here . David Sky wrote an envelope follower. See here and this follow-up post but David's seems to produce an error for me. Maybe someone who...
