Re: Displaying waves is not accurate
Hello, I am editing two tracks - one is ENGLISH, second is local language. It is dubbing (Lipsync) of movie. Both are AC3 2.0 The problem is: When I move with display of waves (shapes) to late time - to end of movie, so is displaying inaccurate. Booth tracks are moved oposite itself. I am using Zoo...

Re: "Can't Import Project File"
I have old projects I've worked on for months on end. I reinstalled Audacity and started receiving this error message: ----------- "Can't import project file" The file you selected is an Audacity Project File. Only audio files, not project files, can be imported into an existing project. ...

Re: Can't detect lame_enc.dll on Windows 7
Gale, I downloaded the Dependency thing and am attaching the DWI file from dragging the 3.98.3 version of lame_enc.dll onto it. I had to zip it before I could upload it into the post. Thanks, John. Would you be able to run the 3.97 dll that works for you through Dependency Walker too, for compariso...

Re: More versatile Nyquist fade/amplify effect
I think these sort of users do need the scale to be in dB. I sent this off to several people who have asked for a Nyquist envelope replacement (without commenting at all) and the two who replied so far both pointedly wanted dB. As one put it, "can we have it in dB please so we can just choose ...

Re: P5 level bug in Preferences->Directories
Al has committed a fix for this:
http://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/detail?r=10448
It should be in any Nightly Build dated 5th May or later.

Re: More versatile Nyquist fade/amplify effect
I can see the problem with having the Amplification sliders going from 0 - 200%. It's probably insoluble unless we can have something like a Fade In and Fade Out preset that sets 0%, 100%/100%, 0% respectively then ignores both the set amplification % and the fade speed controls. We now have the &qu...

Re: More versatile Nyquist fade/amplify effect
Hi Steve Just a few comments, not tried it much yet or really read Help. * the ;info line says "Select the required Preset" - given the GUI has no text that says "Preset", is it better to replace "Preset" with "Fade Shape and Amplification Range"? Or at least,...

Re: Can't detect lame_enc.dll on Windows 7
The 3.97 lame-enc.dll available at http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=824 isn't even compiled by us, but your reports confirm it's the "last resort" one that always will work. It used to crash Audacity, but once we had fixed that crash by changing the Audacity code, it does...

Re: Move Plug-ins and Modules folders
I was a bit hesitant ... on the grounds the folder would be hidden (it doesn't show in Nautilus on Ubuntu by default). Ctrl+H (show hidden files/folders) is a lot more user friendly than sudo. . True, though in some ways the fact the folder is invisible is worse. If you know nothing about hidden fi...
