Thanks, as a bit of amplification to that, 1.2 projects will open in 1.3, but if you save them in 1.3, that stops you opening them again in 1.2.

I've added your vote. I have seen the comment that this would take a lot of code insertion and testing from where we are now in the Beta, but I didn't realise the new Vista/7 dialogue actually worked in 1.2.6.

Every time open Audacity the it resets the system recording balance. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? What version of Windows are you on? Audacity tries to directly control the recording and playback volume slider of the device (it isn't just software scaling of the level). Currently...

Hello fellow audaciers. I have followed the instructions of Audacity build with Steinberg SDK. + I have built wxWidgets with VC++ 2005 (Dll Debug configuration) + I have built Audacity with VC++ 2010 (Debug configuration) It was not easy - few days of work... I was needed to change few source files...

I use Windows XP and Audacity 1.2.6. For mounth I used Audacity to record sounds and music. A couple of week ago I wanted to record some more sounds and music but the mixertoolbar don't show up the possibity to choose stereo mix, mono mix, CD player . I cannot record any sound. I deinstallated 1.2....
