Re: How to make work waves plugins?
I would like to use waves plugins with audacity. I made differents attempts to make them work. Copying them in the plugins folder of audacity doesnt help: in fact they are loaded but not listed in the effect menu (checking "rescan vst... in the preference menu). Defining a path to the plugin f...

Re: Keeping sound quality in the move to mp3
When I export my audio as an mp3, the sound is really distorted. It sounds like everything was clipped, though the sound levels were fine during recording. I understand that some audio quality is lost in the move to mp3, but this seems excessive. I need it in mp3 format, but I (obviously) need good...

Re: Stereo Separation
Recorded from a stereo cassette and trying to mix with some effects. When mixing, the left channel is heard in the right and vice versa. It's almost a mono mix, but not completely. When I Solo the channel, it doesn't show up in the other channel, only when trying to play normally. I'm using 100% le...
Re: Pasting
How do I paste Audio in the exact spot I want it, instead of pasting at the start? You can paste wherever you have moved the cursor to, unless you try and paste after the end of a track. If you do that the paste will attach to the end of the track, because Audacity 1.2 does not support more than on...

Re: Problems with Recovery
If you saved a project, you don't have temporary files. As the Crash Recovery page says, you have to sort those .au files in timestamp order, then rename them while time-sorted with a consistent sequence. A letter and four numbers will work e.g. e0001.au, e0002.au, e0003.au, e0004.au... To rename on...

Re: Audacity compatability HP
I'm a buyer from a IT reseller and we have a customer who needs a quantity of pcs. They have insisted that the machine must be HP and that it supports audacity. Can you tell me if the current HP machine VN993EA would do this and as most of the pcs have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD wo...

Re: Distorted exported MP3 tracks
Udo, are you resampling the MP3s (that is, the sample rate in the track does not match the project rate bottom left of the Audacity window)? What sample rate are people using when they test? Audacity 1.3.7 and later don't strictly require 3.98, but in practice on Windows and Mac you almost always ne...

Re: Nyquist Plugin Modification Needed for SilenceMarker.ny
Adding a "minimum track length" (minimum sound length) option to the "Silence Finder" effect that is included with Audacity would provide the same functionality. You might like to suggest that on the "Adding Features" section of the forum. http://forum.audacityteam.org...

Re: More versatile Nyquist fade/amplify effect
Hmmmm - I didn't realize that it was an AF ... Anechoic...reverb... OK, we were had. :D So is the workflow that a new plug-in will start life in "Adding Features to Audacity" then it goes to "Audio Processing" when ready for end-use, or just after a set time period? And we never...

I require a MSi file and Lame_dll solution to this problem. does anyone know how to deploy + get the lame_dll to become automated with differnt user profiles. Audacity doesn't supply MSI installers.
