Re: Changing Build Configurations Crashes VS2008
It certainly doesn't happen in VS2008 in Windows 7 for me. It would sound like a VS problem. Does it also crash if you change configuration using the dropdown menu to right of the green button, without going into Configuration Manager? You could try replacing audacity.sln with a clean copy from SVN...

Re: Nyquist Plugin Modification Needed for SilenceMarker.ny
Does anyone use the option: "Add a label at the end of the track [N0=0, Yes=1]" ? If not, could that control be removed? I think that control in Sound Finder could probably be dispensed with. It isn't helpful to produce a dead file at the end of export multiple. The author had a specific ...

Re: Nyquist forum
[moderator note: split from here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=29964 ] I don't recall ever seeing any posts regarding developing LADSPA plug-ins, so perhaps making the new forum "Nyquist" and broadening its scope would be a good idea. Done. BTW, the new forum disp...

Re: Remove effects from track?
Hello. Recently I recorded a vocal cover of a favorite song of mine in Audacity. One day, I decided it would be a good idea to fool around with the equalization effect. I THINK I also added compression and reverb but I am not 100% certain. Now I realized I over-did them by like, a crapload--to the ...

Re: <audio> Firefox tag, wav vs ogg
I exported a recorded test as wav and ogg using Audacity 1.2.6 on Windows XP, and tried to play them in Firefox 3.6.3 using the internal ogg-player with the the html5 <audio> tag. The strange thing is that only the wav file will play on firefox, the ogg version will just show a faint "X" ...

Re: Changing Build Configurations Crashes VS2008
On Windows XP SP3, whenever I attempt to switch build configurations for Audacity, VC9 (VS2008) crashes. It worked just fine for the compilation of WXWidgets (2.8.11). I'm using the SVN trunk. Is there something I'm not doing correctly? The steps I'm following are: 1. Open the Audacity checkout dir...

Re: Audacity can't open an .ogg file
So the problem is that the song doesn't open in Audacity. The reason i want to edit it, because the sound kind of envelopes up and down when playing it in vlc media player, even though it isnt supposed to. It plays like normal in foobar 2000, so I'm wondering what's wrong. Audio Identifier 0.7.1 Sa...

Re: Problems with Recovery
First, Thank You! You explaining it to me sound more clearer than reading it on the recovery page. I do still have a question. When doing the resorting and renaming, do I have to physicly find the first file, meaning listening to each file to see which one has the first 10 seconds and then going ba...

Re: Nyquist Plugin Modification Needed for SilenceMarker.ny
I suggest the wording of the field shouldn't include either "track" or "sound" (the latter would be confusing given we're detecting "silence"). How about "Minimum label length [seconds]" or maybe better, "Don't create labels shorter than [seconds]"?...

Re: More versatile Nyquist fade/amplify effect
I think a "Nyquist" or "Developing Audacity Plug-ins" board in the "Programming and Development" section would be useful. I've gone for "Developing Audacity Plug-ins" even though most will be Nyquist. Regarding "Work flow" Initial ideas could start ...
