Re: Text Envelope 0.8 beta
Instead of " as text in the form 't1 a1 t2 a2 ... tn an' " for GUI explanation of "Intermediate Control Points", how about "pairs of time and amplitude values e.g. '1 40 2 20' "? I like that, except it pushes the screen a bit too wide. How about Intermediate Control Po...

Re: Text Envelope 0.8 beta
...May need some minor changes to the formatting of Help screens for compatibility with 800 x 600 screens on all platforms. Volunteers to assist with this would be much appreciated. I'll volunteer for that since I'm forced to use 800x600 on Ubuntu with the motherboard I have on that machine. Howeve...

Re: Sound distorted on playback.
I've just tried changing the inputs, when using Windows Direct Sound: Primary Sound Driver and Windows Direct Sound: SB X-Fi Audio [8400] the sound is a bit less distorted, enough to hear there is actually music playing. Have you initialised the Audacity settings as suggested? If not, do that (exit...

Re: a problem when I try to save and process the data points
Hi, I am new to this software, I have a problem when I try to save and process the data and I didn't find much information in their help Say I record a sound for 10 second. I can see the peaks in time domain during recording (the waveform's amplitude normalized 1), when I try to export these data p...

Re: Minimum length mod for Silence Marker and Sound Finder
Yes, in my "nine tracks in three groups" example, the user was supposed to be exporting at 32 kbps (or the size limit was larger). :) If my example (assuming silence at beginning and end, which I think will always be the most common case) had eight songs instead of nine, then "backwar...

Re: 1.3.12 Beta language choice in Interface
Steve, are you still getting no language choice as I was if "audacity-svn" is installed without "audacity" in the same location?

Re: Sliding Pitch and Time Crash
Clayton (the plug-in author) hopes to have a look at this problem shortly. I'll post here when there is some news. Sliding Time Scale is slower than Change Pitch or Change Tempo, but is higher quality and more accurate (it doesn't change the length when changing pitch). Clayton says he already has s...

Re: Noob Issue.
I just downloaded it, I had used it before and had this set up working.. Deleted it and am not friends with the one who set it up in the first place. I have a set up which includes.. A 1/4 to 1/8 jack.. Plugs into the microphone jack and leads into the RP 90 pedal... Into the Right out. The left ou...

Re: Sound distorted on playback.
Is this when playing back, or when playing back while recording? If the latter, make sure the track and project rate (bottom left of Audacity) are the same. Use Tracks > Resample if not. Have you set the Audacity project rate to match with the sample rate in the soundcard, and is that rate natively ...

Re: Problem with .m4a conversion
I recorded a podcast in AIFF using Audio Hijack Pro, then edited in Audacity. I exported as .m4a using the ffmpeg encoder. After uploading the podcast to iTunes, I got an email from a listener saying he can't listen to it on his iPod. He said he noticed it was encoded with "lavf" and that...
