Re: Recording Problems
I'm still not clear what the output connection of the keyboard is (RCA left and right/ single 1/8 inch TRS?, headphones out/line out?) and if it's mono or stereo, but you should certainly set the input switch on the Tascam to line (not mic). that might even be the problem. If you can only hear one c...

Re: Playback through windows media player
First off I have no control over the record or playback Volume. Second it only gives me three options for play back and recording they are Realtek AC97 Audio, USB audio Codec and Microsoft Sound Mapper -(input and output) I have to set input to Realtek AC97 Audio and the output to USB Audio Codec. ...

Re: Audacity won't import files
I downloaded audacity to edit some audio files I just created using an Olympus Digital voice recorder WS-100. At first the files wouldn't go on because they were the wrong type, so I put them on itunes, and they are all the right type now. But when I try and put them on the program a window comes u...

Re: Recording Problems
Does the keyboard have stereo output, or does the cable only have one plug on each end? Is the Tascam line input left and right and you are only connecting to the right channel? If so: mix the input to both output channels of the Tascam if it can do that or connect to the left input of Tascam in the...

Re: Timer recording does not want to stop !
Ok Gale, I've downloaded the 1.3.13 build - just doing a short test right now. I need to set up a time recording for this afternboon while I will be out - so I will use this as a proper test. The two minute record test just started and stopped ok. But I note that, even with the updated Edirol drive...

Re: Timer recording does not want to stop !
Yup I'd be happy to test Timed recordings on that if you can get a 1.3.13 build to me. WC OK, I'm now building the Windows Unicode "Nightly" against 2.8.11: http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.13-alpha.zip 2.8.11 has been a "stable" release for about a month n...

Re: Recording freezes when screensaver is activated
I ran the Update Manager and now I have Audacity 1.3.13-alpha. However it is still linked with wxWidgets 2.8.10... If the building from SVN steps don't produce 2.8.11, then you may well have to compile 2.8.11 yourself and make sure you build Audacity against that version using steps like these . It...

Re: Changing Build Configurations Crashes VS2008
I know. But whatever the reason, I don't get the crash (Win 7/Win SDK 7 and Win XP/Platform SDK).Programmer2010 wrote:I'm using the Windows SDK for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 (otherwise known as Windows SDK V7.0), if that makes any difference.

Re: What happened to 64 bit integers in Audacity?

The WAV/AIFF limit should indeed be 4 GB (the size can't go h...

Re: What happened to 64 bit integers in Audacity?
If you have a 42 GB project file, clearly that's more than the data you recorded, which would be about 10 GB for a mono 96000 Hz track of 7.5 hours' length in a 32-bit project (about 20 GB for stereo). It would definitely seem that Audacity can handle more samples then 2 147 483648 (2^31) outside sa...
