Re: cant record my guitar through device
Try the standard "detecting USB devices" routine here . The Digitech site doesn't seem to list any drivers for the device. If there are special drivers on an installation CD, have you installed them? After the detection routine, try choosing the Digitech device explicitly in the Audacity D...

Re: Noise Removal crashes Audacity in 96k projects
My process has been very similar each time I've encountered the bug. I'll open Audacity with an empty project, hit the record button and record 1-1 1/2 hours of audio, hit stop and zoom in to the first 30-45 seconds (no edits whatsoever). From there I'll Normalize, which works fine, then without ch...

from private message As you might have guessed I am somewhat new to this type of exchange and little by little my non-techy mind wil attune to the finer points, in the meantime please excuse my clumsiness with this medium. For example; what is the protocol for answering to appreciated replies like ...

Re: CD won't play
Yes, I selected "Make Audio CD" in Nero. Although your question puzzles me a bit. If I had selected Data CD, I wouldn't have expected to hear music from either Winamp or Windows Media Player. Data CDs always play in computers, and almost never do in standalone CD players. For what it is w...

Re: How to have Wav files of extremely small size ?
I want to make computer games and I want my audio files to be as small as possible to save disk space and memory. I learned that WAV is a good quality format but can be very big. So I seek ways to use it while keeping it small. Are there any other high-quality audio formats( except mp3) that do not...

Re: Frequent Crashes Resulting In Lost Data
I work for a church and we use Audacity to record the sermons. Several times lately the program has crashed resulting in lost data. We have found no way to recover this and we have to provide it to a radio station for broadcast within a few days. I would appreciate any help. I use Windows Vista - I...

Re: YAMAHA PSR 3000
There just has to be users of the PSR and similar workstations who read these posts. Any advice on how to get decent sounding recordings into and out of Audacity, (in not ovetly techy language please) bearing in mind that Audacity does not currently handle MIDI files, would be very much appreciated...

Re: CD won't play
I am using Audacity v. 1.2.6 on a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a 1.5 GHz Pentium M processor, 2 GB of RAM, Win XP/Pro SP3. I read and followed the "Transferring records and tapes to computer or CD" section of the forum. The Audacity Preferences are set to: 44 kHz 16 bit (I think; Preferences b...
