Re: Very low imput...how do I fix this
Hmmmm, don't see a devices tab. I'm using Audicity 1.3 Beta. This is the correct forum for that particular program right? If you get the latest 1.3.12 Beta, Devices is the top item in the list on the left side of Preferences. It isn't really a "tab" in the sense tabs are usually laid out ...

Thanks, Bruno for the report. I don't think setting up proxy servers is that difficult, but here's a link to some information on proxy servers.

Re: Some thoughts on the 1.3 version
1. I have now tested the 1.3 (Beta) and it seems stable enough on XP Home Ed. however Windows doesn't accept it to be added to the context menu: Open with... (right-click) of audio files which worked with the earlier version. It may be a bug somewhere, but it cannot be added to the list of programs...

Re: Downloading
I want to use this program on a computer that is not connected to the internet. Can I do this? How? Download it while you are connected to the internet, for example at work. Get the zip version (scroll further down the download page) if you are not allowed to download installers. Download the progr...

I have loaded up the CD onto the computer and have followed instructions to the Audacity Preferences section. Under the 'playback' section, it tells me to enter (in the device se...

Re: Please help me insert some sounds into PCM
I am very, very new to all this and came across this product as I have to do a project for work which involves a pretend radio interview. I recorded the interview on my phone and it is a .pcm file. On the PC, I imported the RAW data in Audacity and changed the speed until it sounded right! I have a...
Re: Slicer
Do someone know of a slicer insert tool that can be used within Audacity. Or maybe Audacity is capable of doing this.? I am new to this software and haven't figured out everything yet. I was thinking maybe of a vst plugin. Please explain exactly what you want to do. Audacity has an audio clipboard ...

Re: about selection
In the help file ,it said: For example, to create the following selection, make sure you're using the Selection tool and click the cursor at 5.0 seconds in the first track, and drag rightwards to 7.0 seconds on the timeline so that the gray selection area extends down into the second track: I think...
