Re: Editing file name in Windows Media player
I think (as I have just found) that I only saved one tape with a (*aup) file as well as a 'Wav' file, so therefor that is probably why the other tapes are not able to show the artist/album name, and am not able to edit these names. Thank you for your help. This page explains the purposes and limita...

Re: Noob question Adding track marks how

Re: Recent Files & Genre choosing issue/suggestion
The list is stored in the [RecentFiles] entry in the Audacity settings file. That means the Windows Registry in Audacity 1.2. You should leave the Registry alone unless you know what you are doing.2auds wrote:If I could somehow empty the Cache for Recent files

Re: Average loudness and compression
Why am I considering compressing the music when, with the assumption that the Behringer has 'copied' the music with sufficient fidelity, I should just be amplifying it back up to the original volume? If Audacity will only amplify the recording by X dB before clipping and that X dB is somewhat lower...

Re: What happened to 64 bit integers in Audacity?
...I've decided that since I probably won't be able to open my project file until audacity goes fully 64-bit, (and I can't wait that long) I'll just write a program that splits up my project file into multiple projects of a more reasonable size, separated by silence whenever possible. If that's not...

Re: Too Much DB, Frequency?
From Private Message Below 'Mute - Solo' I put in right to '-' (minus) it does sound way better than I had it before. So the light blue parts in the center are smaller than before (which is better). The 'Input level meter' (Above the mic pic) still go to the end (not all the time though), but doesn...

When this forum started there was in fact CAPTCHA instead of registration, because it was apparently quicker to set it up like that. However, Buanzo felt registration was more secure than CAPTCHA considering the traffic levels on the Forum. See here to read of insecurities in CAPTCHA and the extent...

Re: Editing to a very specific time target...?
the bottom shows the exact time and length selected and you can enter the values you want down to the h:m:s:ms/frame level To clarify, the "bottom" part that lets you enter values (i.e Selection Toolbar) is only available in Audacity Beta, not 1.2. In 1.2, you can see the time values in t...
