Re: only one of my 2 tracks is playing
It doesn't make much sense to me however in most ways Audacity Beta (currently v1.3.12) is more suitable for Vista. Audacity may have installed in the wrong compatibility mode. Try right-clicking over audacity.exe in Explorer > Properties and click the Compatibility tab. Try no compatibility or comp...

Re: Format Error!
OK, try this after I ran it through MP3RepairTool (right-click and save link or target):

I don't know why you can't reach the buttons. ALT + R might do it.

Re: Converting to ulaw
After editing a file in Audacity, I convert export it as a ulaw .wav file. However, these files always have about twenty seconds of dead air at the end of them that was not present in the original. Is this a problem with a setting or something similar? I have had other Audacity users tell me that t...

Re: which A. version for Acer Aspire One?
Hi I need to install Audacity on my Acer Aspire One with Linpus Linux. From what I have read in one post here in the forum it seems that for my netbook I need the Linux version Fedora. Is that correct? And which version? Fedora Core or Project? I want to cut long internet radio streams into peaces....

Re: Format Error!
You sent the download notifications to Buanzo but he passed them on to me. The files are the same in terms of characteristics (44100 Hz sample rate, 192 kbps constant bit rate) so you did nothing wrong. Length isn't the reason as the longer file plays OK. You could use MP3 Repair Tool to remove ever...

Re: copy and paste track troubles
That's interesting - on looking again more closely I don't think it's the bug that I thought it was. @Gale - it's difficult to see without being able to see the time scale, but it looks like some of the tracks are being stretched rather than truncated? Sorry, I didn't click or scroll the image, so ...

Re: OSX Compiling
Hi Nick,
I only compile on Windows and Linux and I don't think anyone compiling on Mac regularly reads the Forum at the moment. If you need more help it may be better to subscribe to audacity-devel and ask there.

Re: Sliding Pitch and Time Crash
Do these changes show up in the Mac nightly builds? Edit: Seems like I may have answered my own question. Using Audacity 1.3.13-alpha-Jun 7 2010, selecting 2 seconds out of a 30-second track and applying the most extreme settings works OK, but if I set "Dynamic Transient Sharpening" it cr...

Re: Scratching noise when a loops repeats?
Hey guys. My first question on these forums got me such nice help... if you don't mind, I'll throw out another one! So when I take a sample and loop-play it, a lot of time there's the little scrape noise when it starts over. Sometimes it's something obvious, like a hint of the guitar that was about...

Re: Format Error!
I have one song that I have downloaded and exported to MP3 that when I try to play it on my MP3 player in my car I get a "Format Error!" message. I did everything the same as the other 200 songs and as far as I know this is the only one that does it. It is "Manic Monday." I have...
