Re: Ethernet Device setting for recording??

I think there are several possible issues. The Zoom driver will be a driver specific to Zoom, so isn't going to help you. Using multiple hubs won't isolate noise if all the USB inputs use the same interrupt. Shared interrupts are a general problem on laptops, so they may be making the motherboard so...

Re: HOW DO I EXTRACT AUDIO FROM A DVD?

Movie DVDs are highly compressed. When you try to unfold a movie into its parts, suddenly the movie reverts to its real size. Say a 90 minute movie, 24 frames per second (really 23.976fps) comes out to 129.6GB. Audacity is only decompressing the audio stream, and any individual VOB (including video...

Re: HOW DO I EXTRACT AUDIO FROM A DVD?

If you want to get more sophisticated and avoid the audio losses you will get by recording the audio as it plays, you can use Audacity Beta 1.3.12, install FFmpeg then you can drag the VOB files off the DVD into Audacity, without losses. You won't get the whole DVD audio in one piece that way, but y...

This report is somewhat old now, but definitely suggests that the Audio Units versions of WAVES are/were memory hogs compared to the VST versions.

Re: can' run any Audacity on my MacPro 8Core why

My understanding is that if you want MBox to work with anything other than the dedicated ProTools software, you must install their drivers for this purpose, in this case the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver.

Re: Format Error!

I tried the mp3 you fixed and it still says Format Error! The mp3 I took three seconds off the front works. All I did was use MP3Repair to remove everything before the first frame/after the last. I did not remove any frames although it can do that. Is there a tool in Audacity that can shave off sec...

Re: Sliding Pitch and Time Crash

Hi Clayton No crashes now for me, and selections of a < 1 s in a long track still OK, but behaviour oddities mostly on Windows. On Windows 7 and Ubuntu, I tried (D) 10 seconds in middle of a 25 seconds music track @ tempo -90 to +150; pitch +12 to -12 with sharpening off. Then I undid and tried the ...

Re: Format Error!

Here is a screen shot. As I said, you can hold down ALT then press R to repair the selected file even if you cannot access the buttons. Another MP3 validator/repairer is MP3Val . However it sees nothing wrong with your Manic file in terms of pure structure. There is just something in the way the me...

Re: Blackmagic Decklink Capture

if this is what you have, it's a video card. Audacity can only see audio inputs not combined audio/video inputs. So If it's going to work I would imagine you need to connect to the "Analog Audio" Inputs of the card. If you have just connected the video card you need to restart Audacity; an...
