If you look at the link about having no line-in, that recommends Behringer UCA 202 for which you will need a 1/4 inch TRS to Stereo RCA cable.

Tell us if you get down to the "last resort" 3.97 lame_enc.dll and that isn't recognised by Audacity when you point Audacity to it in the File Format Preferences.
