Re: Intégration du manuel
Well clearly something isn't correct. So you are saying that when clicking the Manuel or Aide rapide menu items, IE8 goes to the live web page when preferences are set to "Depuis internet". But when the preferences are set to "local", nothing happens? - Is this behaviour the same...

Re: Audacity and Media Player on Windows 7 notebooks
My warning to Audacity users is that with some input paths (including iMic2 usb in the example shown) if users simply rely on the familiar clipping alerts on the record meters they are very likely to mistakenly push the record volume too high and severely reduce dynamic range in their recordings. W...

Re: Audacity and Media Player on Windows 7 notebooks
Great tip to double-click the sliders for fine control. who woulda thunk that double click would turn on fine control ????? Grammar: "who would have thought". But I would agree this isn't really expected. What else could be done in the space to make it more discoverable isn't so o...

Re: Audacity won't allow me to choose the lamelib file
Audacity 1.2.6 (for PPC Macs) is looking for "LameLib" (not lamlib.1). You can rename the library file. If you have 1.2.5 on OS X 10.4 or later, you want "Lame Library v3.98.2 for Audacity.dmg". You can also use Springy to unpack .sit but it doesn't sound to me as if unpacking is...

Re: how to record mic and computer playback simultaneously
Generally, recording microphone and computer playback simultaneously, though a quick timesaver, is to be discouraged because this gives you no way to separately edit the mic recording and that of the audio playback. It is better to record the computer playback into Audacity, then record the mic into...

Re: Boost the mic input volume in Realtek ALC 883 on Windows
Note one of the problems with that particular Realtek panel is that you select the input to use by muting all the other ones, which isn't made very clear.

Enabling disabled sound devices in Windows 7/ Vista
Whomper, I do think this post is a bit superfluous, although you are trying to help. We already have this information on our own Wiki . And it applies to Windows 7 just the same. Maybe a better approach would be to have a Sticky in the Windows Beta Forum . I've moved this topic there, anyway. Gale

Re: Intégration du manuel
1.2.6 is irrelevant - it has a completely different help system.
I'm finding it a bit difficult to understand you again. When you set Preferences to "local" and click Aide > Manuel, do you see this dialogue - yes or no?
Thanks

Re: Capturing sound using Headset with "What U Hear"
For all you lazy people who just read the first post here is what I posted on page two about my problem. Videz, this sort of name calling is unacceptable, whatever the rights and wrongs of what Whomper wrote. We know you are frustrated but you won't facilitate matters like that. Whomper, please kee...

Re: Microphone
Can I save a recording on Audacity as a wav file or do I have to try and convert it from its present extension? If you have recorded something in Audacity, the audio data is contained in a large number of small .au files in uncompressed PCM format. These are stored in Audacity's temporary folder. Y...
