Whomper has made some suggestions about making the Forum links to the Wiki more accessible/relevant, which I have moved to http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 457#p93846 and replied there.

Re: Sending users to our documentation
i would suggest you explicitly add wiki to the top of the pages Which pages are you talking about? Can you be a little clearer? to make it blatantly clear that tips tutorials and documentation are clickable resources and not decoration/verbiage in the header OK I've been very blatant, assuming you ...

Re: No Recording Audio
Exit Audacity, go to the system mixer and make sure the line-in is enabled and set it as default device using the steps listed. Turn the input level up on the "Levels" properties tab for the line-in as shown. Restart Audacity and make sure the line-in for the sound card is chosen as the re...

Re: Microphone will not be recognised! Help?
Connect the mic before launching Audacity. Make sure that the Audacity project rate bottom left is set at the rate the mic supports (48000 Hz), select the mic as the recording device in the "Devices" section of Audacity Preferences and set Recording Channels to mono (I assume this is a mon...
Re: VOLUME
Hello, I have been using Audacity for a few months now and everything's been great. Re: Behringer UFO-202 records mono, not stereo?
Make sure the default format for the Behringer is set to stereo.
Do the recordings you made with the Behringer appear/sound as two-channel mono before you export them?

Re: Audacity won't allow me to choose the lamelib file
The instructions for LameLib-Carbon-3.91.sit are in the link I gave you. You don't need to record anything - just go to Preferences. Audacity on Mac doesn't use lame_enc.dll and wouldn't see it unless you can set the filter to all files. I am glad you got it working but I have no idea from your desc...

Re: Intégration du manuel
On my opinion, it's only the link in the help is not operating. It seems so, but no-one else has reported it and I cannot reproduce the problem. Do you have any other web browsers installed? Then you could make them the default browser and see if you have the same problem. Maybe because when I put ...

Re: Enabling disabled sound devices in Windows 7/ Vista
Hi Whomper If you would like to help answering questions on a regular basis, I would expect you to be familiar with our own documentation (Wiki and FAQs) and provide direct links to them in your answers in preference to linking to an identical source elsewhere. The link to the Windows system mixer i...
