Re: Plug-in Manager crash with specific VST dll
2.0.6 didn't work for me here In what way? I have those plugins running in 2.0.6, which I tested before writing. Note that in 2.0.6 the system for enabling plugins is different. You must open Edit > Preferences..., Effects section, check (tick) the box "Rescan VST effects..." then restart...

Re: Some problems, applying Bass and Treble.
I've downloaded the latest audacity alpha 23 october 2016 version, the button "close on applyiig" still doesn't appear. Is it hard to do? Thank you in advance! We have almost no active developers at the moment, so we can make no guarantee that we will make any changes in the near future. G...

Re: Audacity does not generate pluginregistry.cfg
None of your debug reports show any audio devices, so I suspect that is the cause of the problem. Perhaps you could disable all but card 2 and see if that helps. Not all audio devices are compatible with Audacity, which could be relevant if your hardware was really meant for Windows. Have you tried ...

Re: Groove music in Win 10 does not recognize wav tags.
Groove music included in win10 does not seem to recognize tags with wave files created in Audacity. The files are there, with the title, but artist and album come up as unknown. It always helps if you tell us what version of Audacity you are using. Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. ...

This is an unsubstantiated statement by Cambridge Audio found at https://techsupport.cambridgeaudio.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/201787081/Audiophile_s_Guide_To_Bit_Perfect_USB_Audio.pdf "ASIO (Audio Stream Input/Output) is another method of audio transport which is superior to WASAPI as i...

Re: Plug-in Manager crash with specific VST dll
A couple of VST plug-ins (that used to work in Audacity 1.3) now crash the Plug-in Manager when I try loading them in v 2.1.2. The PC uses an Intel Core i5-4760 processor, running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. The plug-ins are Betabugs PhaseBug and PhaseBug Mono, which can be found here: http://www.b...

Re: Unable to lose echo on voice recordings
It always helps to say what version of Audacity you are using. Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. Is this mic plugged into the mic port of your computer? Choose the mic you are recording from as Audacity's recording device in Device Toolbar . Turn off Transport > Software Playthrough ...

Re: removing audio from .MOV file
Have a look at How to Extract the Audio from .MOV files in Windows Thanks but that doesn't of course tell ryadia how to produce a new movie with no audio if that is the idea. Perhaps this would help: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/remove-sound-in-mov...

Re: MP4 Export Bitrate Question
I primarily use Audacity to create ringtones for my iPhone, and I've been using the MP4 with the .m4r file type to export them so they will be compatible. For some reason they've been exporting in 192 kbps even though I have the quality up to 500. That's because the quality slider does not work wit...
