Recording "stereo mix" relies on recording from the same device that is playing the music, so to record computer playback with the "Stereo Mix: Realtek High Definition Audio" device you must be playing the audio on that device, not on the USB headset which is a different playback...

Any plans to include speex support in audacity? I think we are still waiting for libsndfile to implement support for it. This was supposed to be quite close five years ago . To be accurate, .spx files can be imported into 1.3.12 on Windows by adding FFmpeg , courtesy of the included libspeex-1.dll....

While it was processing the second track I switched to the window of the first track. I don't know if you ever tested really long tracks with Time Scale, but with current SVN it seems a 50 minute stereo track with extreme settings can take getting on for 90 minutes to complete (but doesn't crash). I converted the whole 50 min. 26 second stereo show. -86% tempo and -12% pitch. It took the machine an hour and a half to process, but was still standing when done. And it plays. Great!
