Re: OS 9 Preferences issues
I am not on a Mac, but what USB device are you trying to record from? Does it support OS 9? It if does, try selecting it in the OS 9 Control Panel (there should be a "Sound" section somewhere). Then restart Audacity. Also you could consider Linux Ubuntu (an up-to-date free operating system...

Re: Syntax Highlighting
myBB offers some kind of editing of syntax highlighting, whereas I don't think there is much can be done with phpBB (even if there was a mod, Buanzo considers installing extra extensions into phpBB quite likely to break the Forum). So the best would be to hope he can resolve the problems there were ...

Re: Lame download not working
The page that I was using previously that wouldn't work is: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Lame_Installation I was definitely left clicking. Is that the link that says "All users: Download an unzipped copy of the required lame_enc.dll here "? If so, that file comes from the ...

Re: Creating Clips
Another way of extending the region or selection into multiple tracks is to hold SHIFT then click on the other multiple tracks you want to include. This should work in 1.2.6 as well as Beta. In Beta, you can also hold SHIFT then use up or down arrow to select multiple tracks. That may be easier than...

Thanks for the report. Please use the current 1.3.12 Beta if you are not already doing so. You can check your version at Help > About Audacity, Please state what version of WIndows you are using (for example, Windows 7 Ultimate). Re: Multiple tracks playback problem
Here is a copy of the reply I sent you following your e-mail to our [email protected] address. If you wish to discuss further, please do so here. Thanks for the report, but it's essential you state the exact three-digit version numbers of Audacity that you are referring to. You can find this at Help > About...

Re: Lame download not working
I have been trying to export my music file as an MP3. I have tried downloading Lame a few times. The link provided in the Audacity pages doesn't work, and the download I did find resulted in Audacity throwing up a message that said it was incompatible with my version. Can someone please provide me ...

But how about 97531? Is that equally regex valid?

Re: Using Jack Control Patchbay with Audacity
Hi Steve,
So what is the significance of those two numbers 13579 and 02468 - are they specific to your machine? Is something like
_[0-9]+_000
equally valid?

Re: Amplify settings (2) are always locked together
Am I correctly assuming that if I set the Amplify setting to the same value in the max. peak (lower box) for each of my recordings, e.g., -1dB, they well all have pretty much the same volume when I play them on the same equipment? No. The only assumption you can make is that the maximum volume will...
