Audacity doesn't allow dragging the playback position as in a media player, but there are plenty of alternatives. See Navigation Tips.

Re: Out! Out, I Say!
Remove 1.2.4 from the open with list? Perhaps search for *udacity.app (which allows for "Audacity.app" and "audacity.app") in case there are any others lurking?

Re: Silence Finder seems to have a memory leak
Only Silence Finder, or all Nyquist plug-ins? Perhaps when you know that, add the information to this summary memory leaks bug.

Re: Our Friend Windows Media
What version of WMP are you on about? I never use it, but if it didn't allow burning to audio CD I think we'd know about it? I can't see why it would compress to WMA lossy before decompressing to PCM. Has someone said it does? As far as I know you can burn WAV to a data CD using WMP. The issue that ...

Re: finer resolution in Silence Finder
I don't object if it's useful - you can certainly hear silences shorter than 0.1 seconds. It just means another 9 steps on the slider. If so we should make the same change to Sound Finder. Anyone have objections?

Re: Export Multiple not exporting music, only labels...
Are you receiving any error messages such as "cannot export audio"? Don't use the / character in the labels. If that isn't the issue, are these labels at a point or a selection region, and can you post an image of the Export Multiple dialogue? If your export format in that dialogue is &quo...

Re: Google Search for Audacity Forum
Thanks. I used the keywords from the main web site which have no separation (!), but it seems separation is better practice so I'l'l fix the main site. For the Forum, it's now: <meta name="keywords" content="Audacity, help, forum, audio software, recording, editing sounds" /> I'm...
Re: Help !!!
I've had time to take up the "debug log" solution. Unfortunately, 3 types of files are listed there: -"orphan blocks" -"missing data files" -"error 2: files which cannot be found" I've searched samples of all these files and they are easy to find. The problem...
