Re: Multi-channel Recording in Audacity
Note there is a comparable list on the Wiki "Multichannel Recording" page. I've just updated that with the information from this topic, and some information based on other reports. Just to be clear, this topic is about Windows and possibly Linux, is that so? I thought multi-channel recordi...

Re: HowTo: Remove dither noise from silence
Maybe a note why this is better than the built-in Noise Removal for this scenario would be useful to some? I presume it's because Noise Removal will produce artifacts, given it will be trying to remove the noise from all the audio, whereas the gate just works on de-amplifying the noise on its own, t...

Re: Missing section of recording
What is the recording device - a USB turntable? The obvious explanation for this would I think actually be lack of disk space. Click Edit > Preferences: Directories and make sure the drive/folder specified at "Temporary files directory" has enough space, and does not have space quota restr...

Re: mbox interface?
I have Vista with the Audacity Beta. It will not recognize my USB MBOX2 with my studio mic, but records only through the internal mic on my lap top. I've gone to EDIT:Preferences:Devices but the Record options are only Microphone (Realtek High Definition), Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input, and Modem ...

Re: compiler warnings in libnyquist
I suggest you add a P5 to Bugzilla. I think we should focus resources on P2s rather than compiler warnings.

Re: Can a couple of Mac people open these Windows projects?
Thanks Koz. Please let me see the whole log, but from what I can see from the shots, there is some incorrect translation of the Unicode. The path should be .../win_projects/Det Är VI Ändå/Det Är VI Ändå_data/e00/d00 but in the log it is .../win_projects/Det ér VI éndÜ/Det Är VI Ändå_data/e00/d00 so ...

Re: How can this latency problem be corrected?
I'm trying to record some vocals over music, and as I'm singing, on the headphones I hear myself singing half a second later than I actually sing. Playback latency is expected if you are using software playthrough. Try using hardware playthrough instead as described in this Frequently Asked Questio...

Re: Cant Locate FFmpeg?
Nope it's justnot happening. Delete every instance of avformat-52 i could find, and the program still doesnt locate it. I would assume some obscure conflict with some other .dll on your computer, but if I find out any more I'll let you know. The particular feature i want to use, is i want to load s...
