"Audacity already running" when opening further files
On Linux (but not Windows) the "Audacity is already running" error gets in the way of opening further files from the command line or from the context menu:

Do any of these issues show on Mac, or is it OK?

Re: Delete between labels
How are you getting tiles in the lower audio track? The first label track should mean that the lower audio track is in its own group. Have you got a screen shot of the whole window? Sorry, I only kept the snippet. I think it has to do with starting with linking OFF and turning it on during the proc...

Re: Delete between labels
Now, what I think should happen (all selections are INCLUSIVE--they include the sample at the label start and label end point): Linking ON or OFF exhibits the same behavior. double click (DC) in wave track anywhere--all audio selected no label area selected (as it is now) DC in LT inside label regi...

Re: Delete between labels
Personally I would like to select between labels by double-click in the label track. For consistency with the behaviour of other track types, shouldn't double clicking within a label region select the region, and double clicking outside of any labels select from the first label to the last label? W...

<<<so this thread should only be trimmed, not deleted>>> Noted, and accordingly I've made it a sticky thread here in the FR section. We could instead move it to Audio Processing for retention in the forum, but that I think would render your reference in the Wiki incorrect Gale? - Peter 5Sep10. Movi...

Re: Output slider association with Windows Volume Mixer
I'm using Vista Home Premium and a RealTek sound card. No matter what I select in Audacity as Output Device, Audacity's Output Level slider is coupled to the Speakers slider on the Volume Mixer panel. The Audacity slider on the Volume Mixer panel only reacts to the Speakers slider proportionately a...

Re: What do you do when this happens?
Open the .aup file in a text editor like Notepad. Do not edit the .aup, but look for "projname" in the fourth line. Make sure the _data folder for that project is called what it says in the .aup file, and make sure that _data folder is inside the same folder that the .aup file is in. So if...

Re: Default FFT settings
In Audacity 1.2, the default FFT setting is flat (no change). If you don't want to apply any FFT to your edited master and you still have the project open, Edit > Undo to undo the mistaken FFT. If you don't have that project open, you can either re-edit the original master which does not have FFT ap...

Re: Audacity et le MIDI
Bonjour.
