Re: exported wav files are smaller then originals
i have audacity 1.3.12-beta installed on ubuntu 10.04 LTS. here's my problem: if i edit wav files, and after editing export them as new wav files, the new ones are considerably smaller then the original ones. i did the test and opened a wav file of 15.7MB, then exported it without changing anything...

Re: Recovering lost files
I can't find an easy answer to this maybe there isn't one - after recording an outdoor concert, Audacity closed before I could save my work. I downloaded the Audacity Recovery Utility, went through the steps and recovered my files. My big problem is that I now have 135 recovered blocks, about 5 sec...

Re: Delete between labels
Fixed by increasing the global attachment quota and just tested you can now upload attachments again.stevethefiddle wrote:It appears that the "Adding Features to Audacity" has reached the quota for attachments.

Re: Inner / Outer Envelope points
I am a 'newbie', so I hope my question doesn't sound dumb. What is the difference between the 'outer and inner control points?? When and for what reason would I know which to use When?? Please, post a *new topic* with a *relevant subject* to the correct board for your operating system and version o...

Re: Delete between labels
PM but could see no easy way to attach a pic I've turned on attachments in PMs. If it gets abused we can turn it off again. I think all your images are working correctly as Al intends, Ed. I think it would be less confusing if the chain background was visible on selected regions as well as unselect...

Re: Recovering data
I think I largely agree with your conclusions Bill, though I never really tested this much. Clearly everyone thought the crash recovery utilities would be redundant for 1.3. I certainly know someone on Mac who recovered an unedited stereo recording from 1.3 quite well using the recovery utility. Thi...

Re: "Audacity already running" when opening further files
If you mean double-clicking .aup files to open them, no problem on Mac. I can open multiple projects that way. -- Bill Thanks, Bill. Yes on Linux, selecting multiple .aups in a file manager like Nautilus then double-clicking them (or any other file type where Audacity is default application) create...
