Re: audacity doesn't work at all
I've updated the sticky http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=16111 and added the following: Audio Device Configuration You must select recording inputs such as "microphone" or "stereo mix" in the "Devices" tab of Audacity Preferences. Note that Windows...

Re: Default Language Issue
The wiki is correct, but ... during the development of Audacity 1.3.x there have been some changes to the order in which menu items are displayed, which is a problem if the wiki described the procedure in terms of "Click on the second menu item ..." Wiki is I believe correct for all versi...

Re: SilenceFinder V1.1 can place labels before 0 on the time
I did notice some "ill effects" which was what led me to find the labels before zero but which I would not necessarily blame on those pre-zero labels... What led me to the discovery was Export Multiple failing to export the "first track" because I had set it to ignore audio befo...

Re: How can I run the Audacity Recover Utility?
I have a damaged file and I need to use this utility, but I don't know how to install it in Linux. I've seen the Audacity Recover Utility source code in this page: http://www.mesw.de/audacity/recovery/ The instructions for Linux are in the page you link to ("Important info for Linux users"...

Re: I thought we got rid of the Overlapping Thing
This is taken from 1.3.13 on an Intel Mac running fully patched Snow Leopard. The 1.3.13 can't be more than a week old. I was going to post about making the Monitor Switch graphically visible -- that click inside the record meters tool? But I see if I Right-Click (Control-Click) the messages tell m...

Re: SilenceFinder V1.1 can place labels before 0 on the time
If the lead-in is quiet enough and long enough (but not too long), and one sets "longer than" and "label placement" at .04 and .08 respectively (which usually results in the label being placed about halfway between tracks for me) is possible for SilenceFinder to create a label w...

Re: 64 bit versions planned?
Are there any plans for 64-bit version of Audacity? Not at the moment. We are focused on bug-fixing 1.3.x so we can release it as a 2.0 version to replace 1.2.5/6. You can run current 32-bit Audacity on 64-bit hardware if you have 64-bit sound device drivers. 64-bit builds have been made experiment...

Re: /usr/local/libexec/Audacity: No such file or directory.
I figured it out. It seems I compiled with debug option on. I recompiled without the debug option on and now it works. Does that directory /usr/local/libexec/ actually exist on BSD as the executables dir like /usr/local/bin does on Linux? When you configured as (I presume) default Unicode Release i...
