Re: LOST PROJECTS
<<<What Koz may be trying to say>>> Not at all. I'm trying to say the user never explicitly Saved the Project except as a byproduct of closing. Makes no functional difference to the particular save, Koz, whether you save with File > Save Project, File > Save Project As (*if* you save to the same fi...

Re: Windows 7 Pro 64bit - Play and Record Stalling
Even though I selected "Play and/or Record using Ram" per your suggestions, it still shows using C: as the tempory file location. The Directories Preferences will still list the temporary directory but if you restart Audacity then record with "Audio Cache" enabled and look in th...

Re: SilenceFinder V1.1 can place labels before 0 on the time
A small change to the "add-label" function resolves both issues. If you would be so kind as to attach a v.1.3 others might appreciate it. I'm still at 1.1 for Sound Finder and adding that code gives "Nyquist does not return audio" for me, so I'd appreciate that too. Then I'll tr...

Re: LOST PROJECTS
If you didn't Save the Project, you never created the AUP file We can only go on what the user said, which is that he re-opened the project. If he hadn't saved it, he couldn't have re-opened it and got the message he did. What Koz may be trying to say is that it's prudent to File > Export as WAV an...

Re: LOST PROJECTS
The .aup.bak isn't what you think - it's a copy of the project at the previously saved state, but without the _data folder in its previously saved state. So when you open the .aup.bak using the current _data folder you get the kind of errors you see. It was a silly idea that has been ditched now in ...

Re: Pause button operating wrong copy of Audacity
Using Vista, if I have a project open and I open a second one (File->Open). this happens: Start the first one and Pause the playback. Click Pause on the second one. Nothing happens yet, just changes the focus. Not true I think if you use the current 1.3.12 Beta . No focus change, focus remains in t...
Re: Help menu
Please update to 1.3.12 if you are not already using it (see Help > About Audacity for your version). Unless your computer administrator forbids you to install programs, install the 1.3.12.exe , then the help folder will be installed in the correct place. If you have to use the zip installation of A...

Ils doivent à aucun moment utiliser notre logo ou i...

Re: Windows 7 Pro 64bit - Play and Record Stalling
How many tracks do you have in the Audacity screen? 30 - 60 is the practical limit, depending on length and mono or stereo. What is the Audio to buffer setting in the Audacity Recording Preferences? Default is 100 ms. Are you using a spare USB port? A hub could give you the issues you are seeing. Ty...

Re: Merge multiple *.au files
My understanding is that if you start Audacity and it detects those files in its temp folder it should ask if you want to recover them. 1.2 will always detect .au flles in its temp folder and ask if you want to delete them. If 1.3 does launch with temporary files present, it won't tell you that exp...
