Re: Can anyone open this .wmv audio?
This is a very evil .wmv (no video, audio only) i have hear.. Basically this is a good healthy .wmv, when i click it, it plays nicely too. But the problem is when i try and open it with Audacity it says http://img1.hidemyass.com/img/S0V3x.png It imports fine into Audacity if you add the FFmpeg libr...

Re: Track titles
Real newbie. Version 1.3B on Windows 7 Please use the current 1.3.12 if you are not already doing so. We always need to know the exact three-digit version number of Audacity you are using (Help > About Audacity). I have a bunch of MP3 files which have the title and track numbers already in. All I n...

Re: Advanced Mixing Option for 7.1 channel
I am trying to create a 7.1 wavex file in Audacity 1.3.12. But after I assigned the correct channels and completed the export. The channel output is not working on the individual speaker output. I would like to seek your advice on this... Here is my repro steps: - Set preference to use custom mix i...

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
And I was about to suggest SHIFT + B for something there seems to be no easy workaround for :) - if the mouse cursor was before the midpoint in the selection, SHIFT + B would play from there to the end of selection; if the mouse cursor was after the midpoint, SHIFT + B plays from start of selection ...

Nyquist Manual
All our documentation (main SF site and Wiki) say that the Nyquist 3.02 Manual should not be used for Nyquist in Audacity. Is that still true following the upgrade to Nyquist in 1.3.8 to support SAL etc? Obviously it's still true for 1.2.6.

Re: New plug-in: Channel Mixer
Looks good. The only consistency query I have is whether the ;info line should say "Released under GPL v2." as per the latest notch filter or "Released under GPL v.2." as per Channel Mixer. GNU seem to do without the period after the "v" as per http://www.gnu.org/licens...

Re: Notch Filter
Sorry if that last post appeared rather brusk It didn't, but thanks :) "width" is sometimes used for band pass/stop filters where it refers to the number of octaves and a higher number is a wider frequency band...I think that for accuracy the name of the Q control should be "Q" ...

Re: New noise removal algorithm
In Audacity 1.3.13, if you set the "Sensitivity" to zero and the "Attack/Decay" to zero then it is identical to Noise Removal in Audacity 1.3.12. I think I tried Sensitivity 0, Signal Sensitivity 0, and Attack/Decay 0 so perhaps it is my selections for Signal Profile that are gi...

Re: DVD audio ripper
I appear to have successfully downloaded, installed and opened that program -- but I sure can't find how to set the output to convert to WAV file. Look in "Output Container" top left and choose "WAV (Audio Only)". I also suggest you right-click anywhere in the interface of SUPER...

Re: Importing not working... bad file?
Try what they said on the other Forum. To import the file into Audacity as raw data, File > Import > Raw Data.
* Encoding: Signed 16-bit PCM
* Byte order: Little-endian
* Channels: as appropriate
* Start offset: 0 bytes
* Amount to import: 100%
* Sample rate: 22050 Hz
