Re: Can't detect lame_enc.dll on Windows 7
I'm still having trouble getting lame_enc.dll working with 1.3.12. I'm using Windows XP I've tried using every file listed on this thread (and a few from other places), going through the ritual of telling Audacity where it was and making sure the two lines were deleted in audacity, cfg. Every single...

I assume it to be an issue with the server clock on audacityteam.org. Bugzilla is out by the same amount. Not sure if we have any control over that, but I'll ask Buanzo.

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
does anyone here like the practice of loop playing the whole track when there is no selection, irrespective of the position of the cursor? It would be far more useful if loop playback could be from the cursor or pointer position. This would not necessarily have to be the default behaviour when pres...

Re: Advanced Mixing Option for 7.1 channel
I think you would have to do more tests producing a file like the one from Microsoft that cycles through the channels slowly and says what they are. I note the Microsoft file is eight channel 7:1 surround (not 7.1 front) yet is only eight channels (not 11 with three empty). So I doubt leaving blank ...

Re: Track titles
Please can you attach a small MP3 (up to 1 MB) that has Title and Track Number in Explorer Properties but does not show it when using File > Open Metadata Editor in Audacity. You can attach using the "Upload Attachment" tab underneath the "Preview" and "Post Message" bu...
Re: F GREEN
do I have to do the Edit>Preferences: Devices > USB Audio Codec every time I want to record? If the turntable is always connected to the computer and plugged in to the power supply before you start Audacity, no. In that case you can choose USB Audio Codec just once in Audacity Preferences. Gale

Re: Problems with Cut Preview
P (or some other customised single key shortcut for Pause) also does not cause the problem if the track is playing or recording.Edgar wrote:about the only keypress that "usually" DOES NOT cause this problem is the spacebar (but even occasionally it happens too).

Re: Recording a "Live" stream using audacity 1.3 Beta.
Getting back to Audacity 1.3, I am having dificulty recording a live stream with it. It records me moving around my computer, it records my dog barking and people in the house talking, but it the doesn't record radio station I want it to. Thoughts? So are you fixed now, having read all the links? I...

Re: Loop Play from within selection. (SHIFT+B)
let us imagine we have 60 seconds of audio, we (somehow--use a region label?) mark a region – let us say from 00:10 to 00:30; we set the cursor at 00:20 and issue our command. What we want to see happen is that the audio starts playing at 00:20 and plays through until 00:30 and then (with no percep...
