Re: How To Get Involved - Need Informaton

I have been trying to GET INVOLVED in translating this GREAT SOFTWARE - Audacity, but It's been a nightmare getting the software needed for tranaslatiing to work properly. I am not a computer programmer and so, the POEDIT program is very confusing. I always get the same error message when trying to...

Re: Chain export high sample rate mp3s from wav?

I'm trying to chain convert/export files that have a very high sample rate (96000) from my Zoom Q3. I want to basically batch convert the wav files, which works fine except that the high sample rate requires me to answer a dialog box (invalid sample rate for mp3 ... reset to... 41000? [yes]) rather...

Re: Problem Importing WAV Files

The only info I can get is; Bit Rate - 5kbps Channels - 1 (mono) Audio sample rate - 8khz Audio format - Verint systems G723.1 Libsndfile does not support G723.1 so you need not spend any more time trying to import it as Raw Data. I don't see any evidence FFmpeg or Mencoder (both of which SUPER use...

Re: Title Bar

Sorry, deleting everything in the file did work :). Silly me didn't follow the instructions properly. Do I do anything else (or will it be fixed in the next release)? Can't be fixed without more information. If it happens again, exit Audacity in that state with the Title Bar missing, then: * Open a...

Re: Title Bar

No other apps are a problem. I followed the instructions of the topic, but there's no change. Then I think it's possibly a Mac problem (did you drag Audacity up against the top of the screen)? You may be into various solutions I've seen on the web like resizing the window and restarting the app; or...

Re: support custom Beep

Thanks, Ed. I now have a pleasant little 5 second snippet of Mozart to announce task completion :). Interestingly if something has to be done after the task completes, such as remove the progress bar and draw the waveform, these seem to have to wait until the file completes playing. Do you find that...

Using Mac 10.4.11 and 1.3.12 beta.
Thanks for the screenshot. Do any other of your Mac apps have this problem?

Try initialising audacity.cfg and let us know if that helps.

Re: FFmpeg library not found

but my problem is not with the beta version. Try upgrading to the beta version. The 1.2.6 version is no longer developed or supported. You are already using the Beta version - 1.2 does not have FFmpeg support or Libraries preferences. Have you repaired permissions? Have you checked in Finder if /us...

Re: Joining Files

iTunes plays the files fine (as long as they don't playback less than 3 seconds from the end). Do you know how that handles it? iTunes supports gapless playback through audio buffering. Can there be a feature in which you can trim off the silence precisely? Effect > Truncate Silence might work, but...

Re: Delay hearing myself while recording with USB mic

Steve just pipped me to answering, but just to add that "Hardware Playthrough" in Audacity for OS X is a hack (that usually has no effect) to make up for the fact that Macs don't support playthrough at all. The Samson Go is an example of a USB mic that includes an output from which you can...
