Re: How I can upload an attachment ?
You're not going to get much video in the 1 (or is it 2) MB limit. Best thing for video is to upload it somewhere (such as YouTube) and post a link. The global attachment limit is 1 MB. Could be 2 MB, but may mean we have to increase the disk quota allowed for attachments sooner rather than later. ...

Right click Sound Icon on Task bar Select Recording Devices If stereo mix not visible right click blank spot in box Select show hidden files Select Stereo mix set as default On Windows XP ? No, only on Vista and 7. And @Thrax, since you're posting this a lot, please let's make it accurate. The righ...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
It also has a combined "78EQ plus RIAA cancellation" feature which I threw in on a whim. I'm not sure whether or not it is useful, especially as many people will be recording 78s at 45rpm, and it would result in incorrect equalisation in that case. My 2p is that the function menu isn't ov...

Re: How can I increase the frequency of the playback "cursor
If I was to bet I'd rather put my pennies on some graphical lib related issue than on alsa/jack/etc Well it could be... but if so, evidence so far suggests the problem will be much worse on a high latency audio API than a low latency one. I just tried Cool Edit Pro 2.0 on WIndows 7. I presume Cool ...

Re: Compiling Audacity with Asio on Windows
What I was suggesting was that an in depth discussion of compiling wxWidgets might be better in its own topic or possibly continued via Private Message. Probably better in its own topic. I'm sure that others will find it interesting/useful. This would probably be the most appropriate forum section:...

Re: Audacity takes an age to load up, then crashes. ALSO..
How would one turn that into a feature request? It's not the first time this has happened. Launch Audacity with -nofilters option? By definition you can't make this a preference because Audacity fails to start under extreme distress. The Mac way of doing this would be to launch Audacity with the op...

Have you read the Konnekt 8 Manual ?
Your're connecting headphones to the Konnekt, is that so?
Have you got phantom power on which isn't needed? Is PAD/INST set to PAD?

Re: How can I increase the frequency of the playback "cursor
I've recorded a short video clip of audacity cursor moving while playing, on my linux box (debian). Format is ogg theora and it was recorded with recordmydesktop. You can download it from here: audacity-cursor.ogv Thanks, Bruno. I'd say that looks much the same as Ubuntu, give or take the load the ...

Re: How can I increase the frequency of the playback "cursor
I think you may be complaining about something that's been there for years but no-one else has cared about before now. ;) I can't get a zoom to fit 15s on either Win 7 or Ubuntu, but using SVN HEAD build of Audacity with "normal" zoom (CTRL + 2, which fits 10s ) I *do* see a regular patter...

I moved this to the correct "Compiling Audacity" forum (you are not using Audacity 1.2).
