Re: Unhandled Exception Won't Allow Playback
I try to open the project from the .aup file, however when I select 'Open with' and select the 1.3 version of audacity, windows still opens it with the old one That shouldn't happen, you should be able to choose whether to open in 1.2 or 1.3. This happens because you can't point "Open with&quo...

Re: Not Recording
In Recording Control Wave only is selected and in Audio/Volume/Options/Properties are all checked in Playback and Recording. I've done that over and over again. If Wave is selected in Recording device in Windows, that is all you will record unless you choose a different input in Audacity. I have go...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Thanks, POL, I grabbed v2.3. Writing to a root directory e.g. E: is rejected on my Win7 system; it requires a folder inside E: (I'm entering "E:/" even though backslashes are accepted if you use the plug-in in SVN HEAD). Perhaps it should throw an error for empty file name so it doesn't wr...

Re: Nyquist Wish List - Nyquist Prompt Enhancement
Well caught Edgar. Slightly different fix here to avoid excess blank lines in the debug window. So is it an idea to put Edgar's fix in to generate.ny? You could fit 10 lines in on my 800 x 600 Ubuntu 10.10 system, with still a bit of space to spare. Are you saying that you'd prefer 10 lines to 9, o...

Re: Propagating Forum discussions to "decision-makers"
I assumed that the "Proposal ..." pages and the "Feature Requests" page were key reading for the developers. Is this not the case? I think it's not the case. You would have to keep dropping links to the proposals into your e-mails as a reminder. As part of my elf duties involve ...

Re: ffmeg -acodec copy
No, audacity will always decode it to "raw" uncompressed audio and if you export to mp3 it will always reencode it again. You can't apply audio effects to compressed data such as in an mp3. mp3 data is not "editable". Sergio, it's not likely to happen, but I've added your vote f...

Re: Lame Add On Problem?
Are you downloading LAME from http://lame.buanzo.com.ar ? There is a new "Lame v3.98.3 for Audacity on Windows.exe" you can try from that Buanzo site. If that doesn't work also try "libmp3lame-win-3.98.2.zip" from the same site. You can also try these alternatives: * lame_enc.dll...

Re: Compatibility with Windows Server 2003 R2
Has someone successfully complied and run Audacity 1.3.x on windows server 2003 r2 standard edition service pack 2? Please tell me if its possible to compile and run audacity on this platform with Microsoft Visual studio 2010. I've moved this to the "Compiling Audacity" board. Compiling A...

Re: I can't hear anything!!! :(
There is probably little you can do beyond selecting a short piece of the buzz where there is no detectable speech, Effect > Noise Removal, grab the Noise Profile, click to left of the waveform above the mute/solo buttons to select all the track, then Effect > Noise Removal again, clicking OK this t...

Re: Grabar automaticamente
Usted necesitará un programa macro como AutoHotkey para lanzar Audacity y ejecutar el atajo de teclado "R".
