Re: Labels Time Shift
I'm not convinced that the Sync-lock behaviour is "correct" in either 1.3.12 or 1.3.13. It would seem more reasonable with what you are doing for only the labels in the selection to be moved rather than all of them - I presume that is what you expected to happen? I looked at this last nig...

Re: Integrate Noise removal class in iphone
wxWidgets is a GUI toolkit. You'd need it to draw the Noise Removal dialogue unless you are going to hack Noise Removal to use whatever GUI you are using. I doubt anyone on the Forum will be able to help you, but first of all, is this iPhone appplication you are developing open source and GPL_licens...

Re: OSS and Ubuntu 10.10
Can anyone check on Mac that the fix hasn't caused any problems i.e. overdub recording works as ecpected? I can test it if a binary is provided (I don't currently have all building tools set up on the mac). The fix was committed right about the time the Mac nightly was built, so I am not sure if it...

Re: Building Windows 98 version + ASIO
The link to VC8 works fine. The VC++ installer works on XP but again not on Win 98. I'm glad the VC8 setup installs on XP. :) I'm not surprised VC8 doesn't install on Win 98, but all you need to do is build the ANSI executable in VC8 on XP, compiling in ASIO support by linking to the ASIO SDK as pe...

If "etc" means "and other memory-intensive programs as well", perhaps you need more RAM (memory)?Caine wrote:seems when i close my browser etc. it works.

Re: OSS and Ubuntu 10.10
I just confirmed... official debian package for audacity in debian squeeze shows OSS as an option on Devices... Build from SVN also shows OSS (and ALSA)... Thanks, Bruno, that looks OK then. Can anyone check on Mac that the fix hasn't caused any problems i.e. overdub recording works as ecpected? To...

OSS and Ubuntu 10.10
I'd just noticed in testing Al's fix for Bug 251 that SVN HEAD Audacity has no Devices Preferences choice of OSS host running Ubuntu 10.10. Al doesn't have it either under 10.10. It looks as if extra steps may be to get OSS to show up in Audacity under 10.10. But we want to be sure the PortAudio upd...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Writing to a root directory e.g. E: is rejected on my Win7 system; it requires a folder inside E: Similarly, my XP system rejects writing to C:. I assumed it was because I wasn't logged in with an administrator account and access was restricted, but maybe there is another reason. In any case, I thi...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
As far as the Audacity Manual and Wiki go, the rules are clear: they are to be written in American English: so Zee rules ... Manual (which is a wiki), yes. Main Wiki (wiki.audacityteam.org), I think it's unenforceable because someone of the "opposite" nationality will always come along an...

Re: Audacity doesnt play randomly... 1.3.12
I would suggest rebooting the computer. Audacity is a little subject to this problem and also to the recording cursor being stuck when you try to record. I think you will find that 1.2.6 may do the same until you reboot. It's could be some kind of race condition but until it obligingly happens for a...
