Re: Nectar VST Plug-in
I just downloaded the new iZotope Nectar plug-in and placed it in the Plug-in file as i do with all other VST plug-ins but it does not show up in the effects menu. And I did rescan. Help please. The plug-in is time sensitive (10 days) and I would like to try it ASAP. Works for me on Windows 7 x64. ...

Re: Compiling error: File not found while copying
It would be probably be less confusing to see the output window contents so the context can be seen of where the errors occur. However, why do you want to build Release (non-Unicode) configuration - are you building for use on Windows 98? If so use Visual Studio 2005 and see http://forum.audacitytea...

Re: Audacity 1.3 and STAudio DSP2000-CPort
I have a DSP2000-CPort audio card. With Audacity 1.2.x I'm able to record all 8 channels, but Audacity 1.3.12-beta limits the number of channels to 2. What can I do. I have the most actual drivers of the audio card installed - of course, it's not very new (2005) as the hardware will not be produced...

Re: Close file without closing Audacity?
I did a search of this forum and the wiki page but couldn't find anyone else who had suggested this. I would like to be able to close a file without having to close down Audacity. That's all. Perhaps this could be added to a future release? The next Beta (1.3.13) will fix this problem. File > Close...

Re: Can't hear recordings
I have a different problem. I download recordings into my computer with a voice recorder. Unless the recorder is plugged in and on, I can't hear anything. The recording is there and recorded fine. In Audacity 1.2, Edit > Preferences: Audio I/O tab, check "Software Playthrough" and click O...

Re: can't hear wav file in media player
I have just installed the program and succeeded in recording a record. It plays fine as an audacity file. I exported as a wav file and attempted to play it using media player but no sound can be heard, even though speaker is at max volume - any suggestions? Assuming it's a USB turntable, unplug it ...
