This is already the default behaviour on macos-x... Like most apps on this OS, which has a somewhat different approach on this matter than other OS's. Yes, the fix was only for Windows and Linux. Nothing was changed on Mac. But on Mac, doesn't File > Close reduce Audacity to that small menu bar? Gale
