Re: can not import audio files
I'm just now testing with FFmpeg from the current nightly. The default ./configure creates a static build of FFmpeg which does not have .SO files. I've built with the --enable-shared option, then the .SO files are produced. I modified Audacity using the instructions here: http://manual.audacityteam...

Re: Nectar VST Plug-in
I moved the VST plug-ins folder and the installation directory for iZotope to the Audacity Plug-ins folder as you suggested and it now shows up in the effects directory. Unfortunately, when I click to use it, it gives the option of "Authorize" (purchase) or "Continue" to try it ...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10, Audacity 1.3.12 Beta, & Freeverb issue
[*]The following does not apply to a stereo track. Freeverb works on a stereo track.[*] I am having a problem with Freeverb. I can select a portion of a track (or entire track for that matter) and preview the Freeverb effect and all is well. If I apply the effect, my selection is wiped out and repl...

Re: Importing .fxp files with VST plugin settings
When using VST plugins in Audacity, you can save and reload their parameters in XML files. When using those same plugins in a hosting application like VSTHost, you can save the setting in a binary .fxp file. Is there a way to get the settings of such an fxp file into Audacity? The reason I ask is t...

Re: can not import audio files
Steve if you are reading, do you use latest git FFmpeg with SVN HEAD on Ubuntu 10.10? So far I've only used FFmpeg with Audacity 1.3.12 (both from the Ubuntu 10.10 repository). I've not investigated Audacity 1.3.13 with FFmpeg. Would you like me to? I know that 1.3.13 alpha works with the 10.10 rep...

Re: Close file without closing Audacity?
This is already the default behaviour on macos-x... Like most apps on this OS, which has a somewhat different approach on this matter than other OS's. Yes, the fix was only for Windows and Linux. Nothing was changed on Mac. But on Mac, doesn't File > Close reduce Audacity to that small menu bar? Gale

Re: Playback jumps from track to track
I am new to this forum. I have been able to use win 7, record and listen at same time. But when I play it back the music jumps from track 1 to track 5 back to track 1 etc. I am recording with a UCB turntable and bought a phono amp The turnable is connected to the phone amp with stero cable then ste...

Re: Audacity 1.3 and STAudio DSP2000-CPort
I can record 8 (12) channels with 1.2.6, but not with 1.3.12, I think, it's really a Audacity problem Pit Yes there are a few reports of similar problems for example with Tascam US 1641, also some people with 2-channel recording devices only get one channel offered in 1.3.12 or previous betas, but ...

Re: add-on?
I did want to say,i seem to be having the same issues with beta as i did with the first Audacity. When recording, while listening to playback, the 'recording' track doubles the playback track even if i never hit a single note.if i do use the mic or board this compounds my situation.disabling playbac...
