Hmm, while I agree it's logical that Audacity should require import of .vox files as raw data on the grounds they are headerless, normal import of .vox (assuming the file was 8000 Hz as most are) did work it seems through from 1.2.6 until 1.3.7, then broke in 1.3.8.
