Re: All those little .au files
By what method are the Audacity 1.3 .au project files numbered? I know there must be some method, only because randomly numbering them (what it looks like) without collisions would be too much work. Koz Glancing at DirManager.cpp, I believe the blockfile numbering (and the numbering of the projects...

Re: Tone control plug-in
GA: is the output amplification only applied when needed i.e. you are talking about the "overload prevention"? S: Yes, it is only applied if necessary. GA: Then I wondered if the technical details should clarify that. ... GA: Why not turn that into nouns as we do in most plug-ins and mayb...

Re: Project Rate
We did update the libsndfile version in use on 1st July 2009 to SVN snapshot (r1416) If I were a gambling man I'd put money on that being the reason. I gave the wrong date when we upgraded libsndfile to 1.0.18 in my previous post, sorry, which I've now corrected. However it was still between 1.3.7 ...

Re: Tone control plug-in
Is one extra pair of sliders worth considering for "Bass/Treble" so you have "Deep Bass", "Light Bass","Soft Treble","High Treble" or some such? You mean "Presets"? For the Bass/Treble effect? Possible, but I think it makes it look too com...

Re: Tone control plug-in
However, isn't your issue really the same as the existing Bug 87 "Nyquist implementation: Excessive memory usage" (which I think relates to usage in processing)? If so this has been raised before by Edgar-rft, and as Richard pointed out, seems almost insoluble because Nyquist memory manag...

Re: Project Rate
Hmm, while I agree it's logical that Audacity should require import of .vox files as raw data on the grounds they are headerless, normal import of .vox (assuming the file was 8000 Hz as most are) did work it seems through from 1.2.6 until 1.3.7, then broke in 1.3.8. I assume this is the explanation ...

Re: Sliding Pitch and Time Crash
Hi Clayton, We've decided to set a deadline of December 15th on this so we can move forward. If you genuinely had a complete commit of a new version say on the 16th and we knew that would happen, obviously we would wait, but beyond that I am expecting this P2 to be fixed one way or the other by mid ...

Re: Recording BBC Radio programmes
Peter, I'm not clear from all the messages, so: * Can you hear the internet radio OK, just to listen to it? * Does that sound come out of your laptop speakers? If not, you must have speakers or headphones connected. Exactly where are these speakers or heaphones connected to the laptop? I think Steve...
