Binaural Tones with Surf 2
Hi Steve Binaural Tones with Surf 2 is quite popular (one of those plug-ins where I think there is a possible case for Audacity distribution). Anyway one thing we're asked about from time to time is a version without the surf noise, or (better) a version where you can choose to use surf or not. Cert...

Re: SVN HEAD and non-English system locales
I did not install the svn version into anywhere I was running it from the building directory. Do I need to do a make install so it detects other languages? I believe so, as per above. The only version I have (properly) installed is debian's precompiled 1.3.12. To test the effect of the env. variabl...

Re: Project Rate
Looks like we're stuck with changing the rate once it's opened as that seems quicker than setting up for raw data import each time. SOX conversion worked fine Steve but at 44,100 my 1.41MB file ended up 41.31MB!! and our live storage is already around 500GB. Even reducing the rate to 6000 gives 5.6...

Re: SVN HEAD and non-English system locales
OK I did some testing in Debian. I tested in Debian's official pre-compiled 1.3.12 version. If I set audacity language to System, it will show the interface in the language set in LANG. Whatever I put in GDM_LANG doesn't affect audacity. In my case I have both LANG and GDM_LANG set to "pt_PT.U...

Re: Copy and pasting MP3 files will result in pitch change
Problem exists in 1.3.5d Mac. In 1.3.3 Mac, pasting into a track with a different sample rate creates a clip. It appears that from 1.3.5d onwards the clip is not created. Thanks, Bill. I've established it broke in 1.3.4. In 1.3.3, seems that any paste creates a clip e.g. between tracks at same rate...

I believe Nyquist 3 is supported by Audacity 1.3.8 or later, but not tested much.Eugeni wrote: I can not work with Nyquist 3 because is not supported by AUDACITY.

Re: Copy and pasting MP3 files will result in pitch change
Tablo, thanks for the report. Yes the issue is there in 1.3.13 Unicode on Win XP would you believe. Just import a 44100 Hz 16-bit WAV, then a 48000 Hz 16-bit WAV, and cut or copy and paste from the 44100 into the 48000 Hz. I thought we might have broken this when we fixed all those problems in 1.3.9...

Re: SVN HEAD and non-English system locales
Sorry Gale I completely forgot about this topic... Do you still need me to do some testing on this matter? Hi Bruno, Yes I would appreciate your testing. Unfortunately Ubuntu documentation is very poor here ("maybe", "not recommended"...) and Ubuntu Forum questions about this ar...

Re: problem with wxWidgets support library
I've moved this to the appropriate "Compiling Audacity" Forum. I am attempting to install audacity-1.3.12-beta on a 64 bit laptop running fedora version 12. I assume that you want to compile Audacity rather than install the appropriate 1.3.12 package supplied by Fedora . The web page indic...
