Re: big and bold 'read me first' in board index page?

A little perspective. This is what the forum looks like to a New User. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/AudacityForum.png I sincerely hope they can't see the bottom board in that image? ;) Is your point Koz that there are too many boards, or just no signposts to "Help" or "READ...

Re: enable software playthrough and I can't record

Although I do not generally use Software Playthrough, I have just tested with Audacity 1.3.13 svn (not patched) on Ubuntu 10.10 and it works fine. :? Yes I find that too - no problem in SVN HEAD (unpatched) on Ubuntu 10.10. I can reproduce the stalled recording reliably in the 10.10-packaged Audaci...

Re: Get error message when I use save as (Linux)

I don't quite understand, what I should post a screenshot of. The moment before the error message appears? It would be just a picture of an open audacity window with my project in it, but tell me, when I'm wrong. I mean when you click FIle > Save Project As, you see a window where you type the file...

Преобразование в WAV. Audacity может импортировать только WMA версии 2 (с использованием FFmpeg).

Re: Can't open wav files

It would be more helpful if the "Help" button produced correct information (then you would not need to use MediaInfo). An MP3 file that has been named with a WAV extension is incorrectly reported by "Help" as "wma-proprietary". IMO this is a bug. If it is not possible ...

Re: Binaural Tones with Surf 2

Here's a mock-up (non-functional interface) that includes most of the features suggested. Have I missed anything essential? Is this too complicated? (it looks a lot more complex than my "old" version). We're getting close to the maximum size for an 800x600 screen. Suggestions? Thanks. Re:...

Re: Recording BBC Radio programmes

Gale, I am concious that I owe you a full reply to your questions. I have not forgotten. I will get back to you. There's no need, I only butted in because Steve asked me to take a look. I still think you may not be able to record until you unhide/unmute/select "stereo mix" in the Realtek ...

Re: Conventions for Nyquist Plug-ins

I think if a plug-in author has chosen to use "debugflags" that should be respected even if there is a dialogue (meaning that pressing "OK" or "Debug" gives you debug). Of course, I would expect the plug-in author to note the behaviour in the plug-in. If we both agree,...

Re: Metronome

Note: I've moved this from the "Adding Features" board - Gale is there a metronome plug in anywhere? There is a feature at Generate > Click Track you can use which generates an audio track with regular pulse noises. You can select the beats per minute, beats per measure and number of meas...

Re: AU File Numbering

Is there any document explaining how and why the project files mechanism actually work? Not that I know of. Gale? I've already answered this here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=46338#p115554 my understanding being that the way crash recovery was implemented, it depends on r...
