Maximum height of plug-in interface

To accommodate the minimum Audacity-supported resolution of 800x600, the plug-in interface should have a maximum of 12 controls assuming there was only a single line of ;info text. For two or three lines of ;info text, maximum number of controls is 11, for four or five lines, maximum controls is 10 ...

Re: Stereo mics input, but only one records (both L+R)

Mic inputs are usually mono. Assuming these computers have no line-in, look in your computer manual to see If the mic input can be switched to line-level. That will be stereo, but may not give you sufficient amplification. In that case, buy a mic preamp. Mic inputs on laptops/notebooks/netbooks do s...

Re: Snap To fails after changing Selection Toolbar units

The problem is that there is only one set of "Preferences" for Audacity, so all projects that are open will share the same "Snap To" setting. ... If you want the "Snap To" settings to operate on a "per Audacity window" basis, I think that would be a "Fea...

Re: Sample Printer

I'm getting a lot less keen on .CSV due to all of the different variations. I think best to keep it simple - if users want CSV they should be able to easily convert a plain text list to the particular CSV format they require. If we're leaving out CSV, then may as well leave out HTML also and that e...

Re: Playback faster than normal

It's usually a sample rate mismatch problem, and it typically occurs if you record a track while playing back another one. The secret is to choose a sample rate to work with in Audacity (that is, the "project rate" bottom left) that is compatible with your sound card. Check your sound card...

Re: Sample Printer

Thanks for spending time on this, Steve. You can export a file that has sample values without indices, but not one like that which also has the sample rate. Isn't that what samplprinter3.ny does if "Sample Values Only" is selected? No, it produces sample values without indices and without ...

Re: Building on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard

Thanks, Paul. I posted a link to this topic on the Wiki Developing on Mac page. I'm not sure if we permanently need the wxMac script or if it's specific to OS X 10.6, but hopefully you can advise on any permanent changes needed on the WIki page when known?
