Re: USB Turntable no longer recording but cassettes do

Connect the headphones output of the device (if it has such) to the blue Line In input of the computer... Or if it has RCA line outputs, connect that to line-in on your soundcard. You'll need an adapter cable for that. And if you do that, there may be a switch on the device to change the output bet...

Re: playing audio files

I've reported a problem with Audacity, not with the headset , when it was impossible to listen on the internal speakers if the output selection in Audacity was set to Sennheiser. And vice-versa. My post is here http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=93364 And was that not solved by ...

Re: USB Turntable no longer recording but cassettes do

My desktop does have a sound card - how would that be a workaround? Connect the headphones output of the device (if it has such) to the blue Line In input of the computer (the mic port is unlikely to be suitable). Turn the recording volume right down if your computer only has a mic port and you sti...

Re: Recording Casstte Tapes

As it says in our setup Tutorial for recording a standalone cassette deck http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/how_to_connect_your_equipment.html , the "mic" port on your computer is meant primarily for weak signals from computer mics and is thus unlikely to be suitable for the stronger ster...

Re: Recorded Sound slowly fading down through whole recordin

It could be a dying battery on your condenser microphone. Or if you are using a dynamic microphone connected to the mic port on the computer it could be that you need to turn off Windows sound enhancements and also update your audio device drivers . If you need more help please give the make and mod...

Re: Sound clips has been saved as lots of tiny clips

Hi, I'm not sure how this has happened but my single sound clip has been saved in to lots of little clips (*.au format). Is there an easy way to put this back together? I can't find any other format such as .aup. Here is a direct link to the page that tells you how to recover an unedited recording ...
