Re: Categorizing Effects - Again
It's not as bad on Linux as it is on Windows. At least they're not all in one really long list. I've made an enquiry as to whether there is supposed to be this difference between Windows and Linux. Yes, menus cannot scroll on wxGTK which is used for Linux, so on that platform only, we force a numer...

Re: Regular Interval Labels enhancements
The only other solution that I can think of (but I'm unsure if it's more or less clear): Label number format: (options) None - text only single digit/label 2 digits/label 3 digits/label label/single digit label/2 digits label/3 digits These options could also be used with "Minimum number of di...

Re: Failed on building 1.3.12 with wxWidget 2.8.11
preethishravan, I had go back to svn checkout -r 11014 ... to find something that would compile with Ubuntu 10.10. Read this: http://audacity.238276.n2.nabble.com/Daily-build-failure-td6236157.html on the Audacity -devel mailing list for details. In short they know it is broken but have not had tim...

Re: Interface language
Figured it out... I only copied Audacity.app to Applications, looks like I need to copy the other directories in the dmg too, including the "Languages" folder. Reading the installation instructions in the download page helped :P Sadly there isn't any file inside the dmg with the installat...

Re: Regular Interval Labels enhancements
If you have Audacity 1.3.3 installed, could you try changing that to "Label numbering" to see if the formatting then looks "normal". Doesn't help. David's Equalabel and the new (v3) High Pass have the same issues, so I figure 1.3.5 rather than 1.3.x is the real cutoff for v3 Plu...

Re: Regular Interval Labels enhancements
Just to be awkward I found another unusual scenario where the result isn't really what I would expect. Use "Label interval" method, but make the label interval > half the selected length. Then you get only the first label at time zero and no second label at all. I agree that it looks odd, ...

Re: Regular Interval Labels enhancements
Thanks Steve, perhaps this should be equalabel 2.1 or 3 to distinguish it? I think it's much better to restrict labels to the selected length as per your change. With the previous versions, even a "5 min 30 seconds track, 10 labels with a final label" placed label 10 a full 9 seconds after...

Re: Audacity on BSD or OpenSolaris?
Audacity 1.3.12 segfaults without providing any useful information You would need to build a debug version of Audacity, preferably Unicode Debug. Then start Audacity in GDB: $ gdb audacity The current Beta is 1.3.13. It has a PortAudio update which certainly fixes some recording issues on Linux. Gale

Re: Storage problem v 1.3.13-beta
The following is as I understand it. It's quite complicated. If you want to save Projects with accented or foreign characters, they must be both created and re-opened in a Unicode build of Audacity. That has always been true with the proviso that in Audacity 1.2.6 on Windows you could save extended ...
