Re: Problem w/ Skips in Recorded Tracks
"Audio to buffer" may need to be set to zero or as low as you can get it so that the recording cursor moves along. Can you attach a short sample of problem recording? Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 . If pieces of record...

Re: Trouble Importing AUP file
What version of Audacity are you using? See the pink panel at the top of the page. Make sure you are using File > Open... to open the AUP file. If you already are using File > Open... please open the AUP file in Notepad (but do not edit the file). Is the AUP file empty? That can happen if you shut t...

Re: DIgitech RP360XP USB
I down loaded the latest Alpha patch and I only used the exe. Is that a driver update from Digitech? it seems to have fixed the issue. There still remains one annoyance. When I am recording from the Digitech RP360XP interface I have to start a new track first and it doesn't record it just sits ther...

2.0.6 is very old now. I recommend you upgrade to the latest 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows regardless of your current problem.

I am trying to record from a cassette in a walkman via a standard double-ended mic cord, using the latest Audacity. I have windows 10 and a blue plug-in at the back, but so far not getting any sound coming through into Audacity. What settings do I need? The "latest Audacity" is 2.1.2 from...

Re: save snapshots
If user has not created a snapshot for the current project, Audacity asks confirmation because the current project is replaced by the selected snapshot. I'm a bit confused by this part. I assumed from the rest of the proposal that snapshots would "add" the data that has changed since the ...

Re: Not recording in stereo
Do you get stereo when you connect those cables to speakers? Remember in your previous topic that we told you to connect the headphones out or speaker cables to the Line-In input (blue). If you connect to the mic input (pink) that will be mono. That will either give you left channel only or mixdown ...

Not sure what the difference is between yesterday and today but at least I can now record and so thank you for all your advice. PROBLEM SOLVED I'm g...

Re: Recording Casstte Tapes
the mic input is "wrong". But if you are getting "nothing", you may have a newer laptop with a combination microphone/headphone jack. Regular headphones will work, but if you want to use a microphone you need a 4-condcutor TRRS plug for the microphone connection. On http://manua...
