Re: Elliptical Equalizer (mono crossfeed filter)
Thanks for this, Jvo. I too would prefer a less esoteric title for the plug-in, especially given the potential nomenclature confusion. I don't really like a percentage being an "amount" so I played with alternatives like "Bass to be mixed", "Mono mix proportion", "...

Re: Generate and Effect menus missing/incomplete
On a fresh install of Audacity 1.3.13 on Windows XP, the "generate" menu is completely missing, and the "effects" menu only has the options "fade in," "fade out," "leveler," "noise removal," "normalize," and "truncate silenc...

Re: Cannot compile Audacity using VC++ 2008 editor
I have just installed Audacity and I want to build and compile the code. I am using VC++ 2008 express edition for compilation. I tried to compile and build the code but there are some errors. I tried to launch audacity.sln file but it says conversion required. Can anyone tell me how can I compile t...

Re: Download language
I downloaded 1.3.13, selecting English as my preferred language. When I open the programme it's in French. Is this because I live in France, and can it be changed to English? The language you selected is only the one the installer uses. Please read this Frequently Asked Question . Just click Editio...

Re: good midi files for songs like New Gold Dream

Please don't use this Forum for questions that are irrelevant to Audacity. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3086429?tstart=0 http://hintsforums.macworld.com/showthread.php?t=124321 You could find a friend on Windows and use http://www.winarchiver.com/ (or run Windows yourself using BootCamp). Re: Audacity Store
Just to add to the above, unfortunately we haven't in the event been able to make an economic case to continue the Audacity Store in its present form. However we welcome donations . Any amount, large or small, supports maintenance and development of the Audacity project. There are many other ways to...

Re: Delay typing into a label or dragging tracks vertically
The determining factor is that a second character for a label is typed before the blank label is created. Thanks for the investigations and screenshots. One label track is all that is needed to (sometimes) demonstrate the issue. I think the speed of the typing is relevant. Not using CTRL + B to cre...
