Re: multiple tracks volume adjustment
With all the tracks underneath each other in Audacity, you can select them all (CTRL + A) then Effect > Normalize, but this may unbalance the individual channels in each track, assuming they are stereo, because the peak in each channel is calculated separately. If the stereo balance requires correct...

Re: Quality and volume degrade after a few seconds of record
I have been trying to record my guitar into Audacity, but after only a few seconds of recording, during which time the audio sounds fine, the quality and sound level steadily degrades. I am using a high quality USB microphone, a Blue Yeti, plugged into an HP laptop. I have tried different guitar am...

Re: 1.3.2 Version for Windows 7 is missing some settings
it doesn't solve the problem of why setting options were missing and the later version intended for Windows 7 64bit would not recognize anything from my sound card. No mic settings, no Stereo Mix, no Input whatsoever. 1.3.2 is not intended for any version of Windows 7 because Windows 7 came out sev...

Re: Frustration with Aud 1.3
I'm trying to use Audacity 1.3 on my Dell Optiplex G280 (XP, Audigy Sound Blaster card), and become very frustrated with the lack of decent documentation and explanation of things in the software and particularly the user interface. I'm hoping someone here can help me understand some things about A...

Re: 1.3.2 Version for Windows 7 is missing some settings
Thanks, but 1.3.2 is a buggy early Beta that is nearly 5 years old. Why download that? Even if you meant 1.3.12, that isn't the current Beta which is 1.3.13: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows 1.2.6 isn't officially supported on Vista or 7 because it may crash when you press Stop after re...

Re: Audacity crash when loading MP3
Sorry guys but was it really necessary to push out a Beta? I'm no tech-guy and certainly don't want to spend more time on software than necessary. This is also a reason many people are sceptic towards Linux. No wonder the majority still uses Windows - because everything works out of the box. My que...

Re: Export to WAV Libsndfile error
Does the forum have any guidelines for best width on illustrations or any size limits? As far as I know, the Forum just adds vertical or horizontal scrollbars to the image when a set height or width is exceeded (those set dimensions seem to be less than 800 x 600). But we should respect people with...
